>Bitcoin stackoverflow has no coherent flow and is overflowing with disorganized posts. >Bitcoin talk forum likewise ratelimits when searching from one thing to the next making learning frustrating >Bitcoin IRC channels/telegram/etc groups are long lost in time and those still around are cricket silent >Bitcoin developer.bitcoin.org/en.bitcoin.it/base58.school/learnmeabitcoin.com/bitcoincore.reviewers/bitcoin-only.com/Medium.com(articles)/X.com(threads)/O'Reilly Bitcoin(books)/and dozens and dozens of other sites and platforms have no flow or structure. Each one makes huge assumptions about how much one knows about the networks basics and technicals and has no clear pointers towards where to head towards next after mastering the previous stage.
As a result of the constant chase, I am demotivated and frustrated getting started with Bitcoin learning and development. I understand this is a lifelong dedication and collaborative project which will inevitability exceed my own lifespan as well as my offsprings, etc. However, the current state of things seem like one huge gate-kept and disorganized community who don't seem to even recognize this learning-curve pain for newcomers.
Unless I've been fundamentally misunderstanding the starting direction, I don't see how anyone else can start working in this open source project without falling into rabbit-holes and failing to see the full picture. I understand the learning process is self-funded as is the development of the network, but it's been a nearly decade and a half since inception, surely some of the community's various 6/7/8+ figure fiat equivalent BTC hodlers have fleshed out a clear and coherent ground from which youthful seeds of talents can grow and nourish. I do not own any Bitcoin and I plan to work hard to earn each and every invaluable infinitely divisible satoshi, yet I am very lost as it presently stands.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there truly no learning club, do I need to apply proof of work just to begin contributing to enrich the past, present and potential future holders in the community? Bitcoin is banned in my country still so I am willing to pay this price, but any pointers would be greatly appreciated. If nobody replies, then I will do the work anyways. Rant over, thank you for taking the time to read.

these days guides are no longer complete and in one location. they are vague and spread out bitcoin development is heavily funded by the like of the wall street institutions and they love barriers of entry these days they act like a hierarchy where they wont even go into depths unless you first learn their latest created buzzword of the month there used to be many complete, uptodate guides, but it has become apparent that those higher on the hierarchy dont want to engage and offer uptodate guides to normal people its getting to the point where the guides are hidden and soon people can only learn via college curriculum(income for institutions) however if you put the effort in to learn bitcoin using multiple sources, you could find a niche where you then translate the jargon back to basic speak and become the resource you feel is missing feel free to ask questions, but usually you will find it best to use the search functions of forum and google to see if question has already been asked and answered

I also experienced the same, feeling lost because I can't follow the pace, not to mention there are many thing that I didn't know even though I've completed some guides. I do not own any Bitcoin and I plan to work hard to earn each and every invaluable infinitely divisible satoshi, yet I am very lost as it presently stands.
That means your problem isn't about to learn Bitcoin, you're commit to invest as much as you can in Bitcoin. If you think learning Bitcoin will make you make a lot of money, I don't think so. The jobs for Bitcoin is really limited, while in altcoins, there are a lot of jobs as long as you fill the requirement.

As a result of the constant chase, I am demotivated and frustrated getting started with Bitcoin learning and development.
The motivation and frustration could be regular feelings and emotions to experience when you make commitment to learn something new. Understand that those feelings are part of the learning curve which can especially be difficult when you are trying to do so without a guide. You can first start by reading the Bitcoin White paper to understand what Bitcoin is and then if you have any intended questions first try out the search option on this forum and if you do not see any topic related to your question you can ask your question and I'm very sure you will get answers from people in a very good position to help you understand and clear any confusions that you will have. Beat the frustration and de-motivation, and you will do well.

>Bitcoin stackoverflow has no coherent flow and is overflowing with disorganized posts.
I think you meant Bitcoin StackExchange. Although using tag may slightly help. >Bitcoin talk forum likewise ratelimits when searching from one thing to the next making learning frustrating
I agree, the search result isn't that good either. But you could use https://ninjastic.space/search or type "your keyword site:bitcointalk.org" on google or other search engine. >Bitcoin developer.bitcoin.org/en.bitcoin.it/base58.school/learnmeabitcoin.com/bitcoincore.reviewers/bitcoin-only.com/Medium.com(articles)/X.com(threads)/O'Reilly Bitcoin(books)/and dozens and dozens of other sites and platforms have no flow or structure. I somewhat disagree for this part. IMO learn me a bitcoin definitely have some flow/structure, while some of O'Reilly Bitcoin books are well written (such as Mastering Bitcoin). Has anyone else experienced this? Is there truly no learning club
Serious technical learning group definitely exist, but it's limited in many ways. For example, Brink offers paid fellowship but expect some open-source contribution[1]. [1] https://brink.dev/programs

Some weeks ago I wanted to start learning another language that's completely different from mine, although I kept discouraging myself I still gathered the courage to do so and now I am already started. I actually did not join any learners club(that's silly to me having a club for just learners who then would constantly be giving them knowledge and sharing experiences). Information to what you need are everywhere you just need to show interest and source them out. As a newcomer into bitcoin you can start learning by reading there aren't any shortage of articles, videos, audios that teaches Bitcoin. This forum is a gathering more of a Crypto-currency community where lots of people are here for different reasons, no one is here to spoon feed you but still lots of people are willing to answer your questions and put you through but first you should do your research. This is the 2024 and Information aren't far away from your finger tips. Below is a thread with lots of options to choose from to kick start your Bitcoin, Crypto-currency in general learning. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5142007.msg51004107#msg51004107

I haven't cross path with any platform or community mainly dedicated to discussions about bitcoin both in the technical-know-how and the fundamentals about bitcoin than this community bitcointalk.org. Op good a thing you find yourself here, I am very sure that as you dedicate and spend time moving to various boards you'll get every information you source for about bitcoin in their very order. The technical discussion board as I have notice can be your start. Here's the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0

Besides the Development and Techincal section of this forum that I believe many replies has mentioned, I would like suggests one of the short class that I was joining on 2019, I mean I didn't complete the class because I am getting busy with my actual work that pays the bill, but I really think it's good if you are a beginner, if you are already have some intermediate experience and skill, then you might want to skip this, Chaincode Labs https://learning.chaincode.com/ they offer a structured, remote Bitcoin development program that’s completely free. It's a short 3 months class, you will learn some essential stuff like building a wallet, understanding P2P system, and they also encourage you to contribute to some open-source Bitocin projects if you want. When I was joining the first month session, my only coding experience is with Java, only know very few of C++ and Rust (which both programming language is the ones that will be used) but I still can learn and enjoy the material.

It definitely doesn't meet OP requirement, although it's good place to ask specific question. Chaincode Labs https://learning.chaincode.com/ they offer a structured, remote Bitcoin development program that’s completely free. It's a short 3 months class, you will learn some essential stuff like building a wallet, understanding P2P system, and some of the they encourage you to contribute to some open-source Bitocin projects if you want. This is probably what OP wants. The barrier is rather low since it's online, free and doesn't expect much skill/contribution either.

OP can try this free course from Saylor.org Academy. It's not kind of Bitcoin Learners Club, but it is good course for learning, time required is about 12 hours, and there is a cerfificate as I saw as well as other interesting courses.

I understand this is a lifelong dedication and collaborative project which will inevitability exceed my own lifespan as well as my offsprings, etc. However, the current state of things seem like one huge gate-kept and disorganized community who don't seem to even recognize this learning-curve pain for newcomers.
Are you learning Bitcoin development because of others? I thought it was supposed to be a personal dedicated aspect of our life that we choose, and we don't need to think if the entire community that you can derive source from is thriving or not. If you visit reddit.com, you can still see other communities that are fully active. In the meantime, get your ass up and start learning. You never can tell your fate on this and don't forget that no knowledge is a waste. Rant over, thank you for taking the time to read.
One thing you need to under is that don't expect all your plans to simply go the way you planned them. There can be obstacles and challenges around the corner. The other communities who are contributing to the community face their personal challenges, but they don't let it affects what they do in the technology. You have a unique skill to offer when you join, if you have not figured it out now you will later. When I joined the forum I thought there was nothing left for me to say here that I've never heard but along the line. I know one or another I have impacted members directly or indirectly and am a big fan of the lightning network.
