These are all examples of the underdogs beating the underdog story and finally winning. With how much the favorites are not performing as expected, some may start betting on the underdogs instead. So if the favorites were constantly underperforming, should you change your strategy? Well we need to look at the reasons why these favorites are losing and these underdogs are winning. What changed? I wouldn't make the blanket statement that you should bet on underdogs, but you should always remember you're betting against the odds, not the teams.  There is always a good bet you should take on either team involved in a game depending on the odds.  One team getting a massive spread you think they can cover?  Is a star player's return being bet wildly because of his fanbase?  Make sure you always weight the odds and decide for yourself if a bet is good or bad, not necessarily the outcome.  Give me 1,000,000,000,000 to 1 odds that I can beat Michael Jordan in a pickup game and I'm taking me all day long.

If the underdogs are putting up a consistent excellent performance and the favourites are doing the opposite then the underdogs are now the favorites. What changed for the underdogs could be the change of management, change of tactics and strategies, change of players and other changes. If it is consistent my bet on them will be slow but strategic. Not impulsive but calculative. Not driven by emotions but by logic. That's what I'll consider during my evaluation.

If the only selection that remin in bookies are underdogs, I will never bet again. I prefer to choose favorite teams which are likely to be the winner than going for underdogs.

If you think that the teams that isn't the favorite win just like the one you mentioned then you should bet if you think they will win but it's entirely up to you if you go what you evaluated. Anyway, what happened before might not happen again so you should based your decision ln your evaluation.

Exactly my thoughts when i saw the headings talking about betting on the underdogs cause it's quite a long while but I'm able to remember that I've stormed over this topic and as i noticed it was created today it gave me the conclusion that it's a repetition of topics. Which is why before creating a post one need to search by using the search box rather than acrrueing more similar post.

Just because the underdogs are not the favorites does not mean that will magically increase their odds of winning. If anything, betting on the underdogs usually goes wrong as you are switching your strategy to the team with the lower probability of winning.

Maybe it will work with one or two bets, but that would be pure luck, not statistics. Statistically, it would go downhill over a long term time period.

Although some special cases do exist, you need to do your research on the team thoroughly either way.

That's because the last topic about betting underdogs was talking about soccer or some other sport but this one is particularly NBA. Still you got a point though.

I wouldn't say stop creating a topic about it, he just didn't have the interest to old underdog topic but OP is just expressing his views this time related to what is going on to several NBA matches that seem to have flipped the world. We know how it feel to lose money while we are sure to win an amount in putting out money to the fave team.

It is not a wrong strategy and sometimes underdogs really win in any kind of sport not just in basketball but even in football, boxing and others too. If you are confident that the underdog has got the chance to win, why not try it? But only with an amount that you can afford to lose because not all of them are going to win mostly. It's hard to predict such games and that's why it's called a gamble because we don't know if the underdogs are going to be favorable and likely to win. But if they do and you bet for them, congrats because they've got better odds always.

Betting on the underdogs is a thing of choice, everyone has their preferences,  some prefer to bet on the favorites and some prefer to bet on the underdogs. As a gambler you are supposed to know the risks you can take. Betting on the underdogs is a thing of choice, everyone has their preferences,  some prefer to bet on the favorites and some prefer to bet on the underdogs. As a gambler you are supposed to know the risks you can take. It sound to me like the ops statement is born out of frustration, since he listed all the top loses in the game's that was not expected for him, this point to the priority of.luck in each bet that we make, regardless of the team and player's involved any game can be a lose regardless that is the reason we shouldn't underate any team that is up against a stronger one.

Losing os something that come same ways the winnings come along so we shouldn't be overly angry when we experience such events and trends that we never speculated.
