That definitely means they're being guarded and careful about it because at the current point of the evolution of the internet, people are more cynical towards anonymous people in forums and in platforms such as X. But there are those sorts of people in the forum, and they are playing 4-D Chess. One person - I won't post who, although known for spreading a lot of FUD and disinformation, has more merits than many BitcoinTalk users.

I think I know who you mean, although I wouldn't take merits as some kind of ultimate measure of how influential someone is on the forum. I personally think that there are many people who deserve more merits for their posts, but since I am not the merits source, I cannot change anything about it.

There is a topic in Reputation where those who have been caught using AI are published, but this is nothing strange considering that this technology has become very popular in recent years and that some people think that it is completely normal to communicate using this technology. I would personally punish it the same as plagiarism, although the administration's position is still quite soft on this matter.
