Seems that NVIDIA is way ahead of everyone else in bringing AI to the masses, at home. I read somewhere that it is $3,000.

NVIDIA unveils Project DIGITS: a personal AI supercomputer for the masses

https://www.naturalnews.com/2025-01-09-nvidia-unveils-project-digits-a-personal-ai-supercomputer-for-the-masses.html
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NVIDIA has taken a bold step toward democratizing artificial intelligence (AI) with the launch of Project DIGITS, a personal AI supercomputer designed to bring cutting-edge AI capabilities to researchers, data scientists, and students worldwide. Powered by the groundbreaking NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, Project DIGITS delivers a staggering petaflop of AI computing performance, enabling users to prototype, fine-tune, and run large AI models directly from their desktops. This innovation marks a pivotal moment in AI development, as it places the power of a supercomputer within reach of millions of developers, potentially accelerating the pace of AI innovation across industries.

A petaflop on your desk

The centerpiece of Project DIGITS is the NVIDIA GB10 Superchip, a system-on-a-chip (SoC) built on the Grace Blackwell architecture. The GB10 combines an NVIDIA Blackwell GPU with fifth-generation Tensor Cores and a high-performance NVIDIA Grace CPU, connected via NVLink-C2C chip-to-chip interconnect. This integration delivers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance at FP4 precision, all while operating on standard electrical power.

“AI will be mainstream in every application for every industry. With Project DIGITS, the Grace Blackwell Superchip comes to millions of developers,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Placing an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI.”

The GB10 Superchip’s power efficiency and performance are further enhanced by its collaboration with MediaTek, a leader in Arm-based SoC designs. Each Project DIGITS unit features 128GB of unified memory and up to 4TB of NVMe storage, enabling developers to run AI models with up to 200 billion parameters. For even larger models, two Project DIGITS systems can be linked via NVIDIA ConnectX networking to handle models with up to 405 billion parameters.

Keep in mind that 'petaflop' doesn't mean something like "Einstein's Beagles." Grin

Should be fun to have an AI desktop computer that is controlled by Cloud AI computers.

Artificial Intelligence wouldn't have been this necessary if the humans, using their Natural Intelligence, are working collaboratively, as they should, in an organized manner, to solve problems for society. Unfortunately, most people work for money thesedays, with the main motivation being to make as much money as possible, and not caring too much about the bad consequences of what they get paid for.
They abondon their role to chase after money, while people who need help to get things done and fill the vacuum left by those abandoning their roles, are using AI, especially cloud based ones, almost for free.

^^^ Yep. However, desktop AI can help make more money. Unfortunately, people will use it to help 'steal' money from others. Oh well. Satan can get his foot in the door thru well-meaning Christians, too.

Well I am very much looking for the future and how AI will be used for it. But like so many other people I am just worried it will become too powerful if the bad people can figure out how to use it like this.
But I do think NVIDIA is doing some real big things for AI future. It is a company I think we are going to be talking about for along time when we talking bout artificial intelligence. I do like how this does sound though a desktop AI.

^^^ The question about NVIDIA has to do with what all these AI's in everybody's homes will do. Will it increase the One World Government, or keep it from ever getting a real start?
