indeed cool pices and also the service of redwolf sounds very interesting
maybe this is a service that could grade my bread magazine for me...? attempts via cgc or cbcs were unfortunately in vain due to the thickness. i also found a grading service in germany (
https://www.apgrading.de/) that would be possible according to the dimensions given.
but i would rather use an american company to increase the value or does it matter to you americans which grading company (.us or .eu) is behind the service?
A'ight, I'm
really friggin' late commenting on your post, but I recently bought a couple copies of Bread and they barely fit in my BCW magazine box (I have to sort of tilt them sideways). I don't know the story behind that particular magazine, but I'm searching this section for answers right now.
IMO, for Americans the grading company certainly does matter. Collectors are a picky, picky lot and I've seen some coin collectors shun NGC and only buy PCGS-graded coins, and those are both American grading companies. I guess it depends on the reputation of the grader, but I'm not sure a German company would appeal to us Ugly Americans. Well, you all is pretty. I'll just speak for myself and avoid looking in mirrors.
I do not see why humidity would be a problem.
<snip>
I cannot see any air infiltrating inside...it seals pretty damn tight
That might be so, but if magazine slabs are anything like coin slabs, humidity certainly could be an issue. I've heard tell of coins toning in their slabs, and though I'm not speaking authoritatively here, I really doubt encapsulated magazines are absolutely airtight. If I'm wrong, all the better and if hanging one of these beauties I'd be far more concerned about protection from light. And believe you me, I will be hanging some graded
BTC mags once I build my
signature campaign castle.
