Information a major source of gain the crypto space

Of late, I have been doing a lot of research, trying to stay in profit. The crypto space is clogged up with so many projects that a careless decision can cost you dearly.

This morning, while scrolling through my social media feeds, I saw a report titled “BGB Tops Crypto Rank's List for Tokens with the Highest Percentages of Holders in Profit.” This means that about 95.6% of people who hold BGB are currently in profit https://x.com/CryptoRank_io/status/1899432389522207123. This sounds interesting to me, especially since I have lost a couple of funds in the past few days.

In this space, information is key, as it allows you to make informed choices. I intend to reduce my activities on exchanges to just a few major ones to minimize losses.

There are numbers of cryptocurrencies being launched on a daily base, sometimes we could even go being confused about which should we go for, because they are all being hyped by their promotions on the Internet through some crypto influencers and we are also being desperate on how we could seek in for an investment opportunity in any of them, just to be able to afford making some profits with ease, but not all are deserving for our investment because some of them are not a real time project, their developers intentions may be to eat up our funds and later abandon the project all of a sudden.

That is why I often advice people to always DYOR before getting in on a project. Many of these shitcoins were created to just last some hours. Once they get what they want they get out and leave you with dust. Last year I suffered a lot and lost funds to these shit project. And for this reason I've am been very careful. Its great to see BGB appear on CryptoRank list, i can recall it was $0.5 back in January of 2024, fast forward to last December it was over $5 and later reached an ATH of $8. That’s 1000% increase in one year. Having over 96% holders in profit shows the significant growth of the exchange token.

 I recently read about its token burn mechanism which reduces its supply, hence maintaining its position as a top 10 cryptocurrency. Even though its currently $4.4, we might see a price surge later in the year and i also heard there’s a community for BGB holders, this might be the best time to join.

Last year I suffered a lot and lost funds to these shit project. And for this reason I've am been very careful.

That's why it's best to fullforce invest in Bitcoin than any of these shit projects because they're not doing to do good.

Well, good luck to you with that because it's also going to show some results but knowing if they are positive or negative. No one will know. Only a matter of time when but I think that I understand what this thread is all about and not about your investing journey but for something else.

If you're being informed, you will not be deformed, because information is key and power, we should learn to seek first this while trying to develop interest on something new, because such will help us towards achieving what we planned and avoid some unnecessary mistakes that may cause us to loss, we should also get information the right and reliable sources, because this goes along with what we stand to get from using  it.

I think deformed can also mean changed. We can change from being fool to being smart if we are informed. We can also change in a not-so-good way like our head is going to get big. I think you guys know what I mean there.

Moreover, we can get wrong information, so instead of being changing for good, we can remain the same or will become even worse. This is why like you said, it is important to get only the right information and the reliable ones. I still think that interest can come first before the rest, like for example we know that we have an interest in crypto, then that is the time to dig deeper onto it but we need to start on the basics first.

Its more better to be on the right side in having the right information as well, because not all the sources online or at any means are reliable, when it comes to giving out on what is required, some are even having a personal motives behind giving out some information, just for them to attract the traffic on such occasion suiting their own purpose, in crypto, we have to known how we can decern on whom to follow and not and also attached ourselves to some sources we know are reliable.

A very good shilling attempt for BGB, but it just makes me want to buy bitcoin more, because no matter how much alts could go up, it shows bitcoin is the one that always goes up the most and that makes me want to buy it even more.

I can see how this could become an issue for some people, because they rather buy altcoins and take a risk and hope for a higher return, but that isn't me and I do not have that kind of desire for altcoins, because that famous "oh maybe I can make 100x from this" type of approach on altcoins is unrealistic to me and do not think it will happen, whereas it will be  realistic to buy bitcoin and hope for that to make some more sense. If we approach this differently, then we could have some decent stuff returned.

We have to invest because in doing so lies the opportunities to earn profits, also in doing this comes with some level of risk, which we can choose to take or not depending on our capacity and affordability, same applies to any other form of investment we may be taking outside crypto, we must go through the risk attached, but we can also help ourself in such situations, by making it something we can avoid much risk over, this have to come in by our own personal way of doing things, the understanding we have towards it and how we make our choice over what to invest.

This is true. Even the early movers can earn in crypto market. Like a few times, I just see a news that talks positive about I coin, I go and buy it and it keeps rising for a few more days as more and more people buy it. On other hand when I hear a bad news, I just go and short it to make profit.
But this is not full proof, there could be several exception one I could remember and where I lost a lot was Ethereum ETF listing. I bought Ethereum on leverage when it's ETF listing was announced but it kept falling liquidating my position. But in long run, we just need to be more right than wrong.

However, we must also ensure that the source to our information are legit enough for being reliable, we cant afford to be fooled al in the name of seeking after for investment opportunity on any crypto project to now go for any shitcoin coin or get entangles with unreliable information sources on the social media, therefore, everything that have to do with what we are investing must be thoroughly investigated upon to see that there is no traces for hidden agenda beyond the offer we are receiving.

Something "newly increased" will of course be top ranked here, but does that mean in six months the result would be the same, or in 2 years? Let's assume for a moment that we are in 2030, do you think people who buy all of these today, will be all the same in 2030? Or will we have BGB being a lot worse than all others? That thing increased recently, hence why it looks great on that list, but that doesn't mean we are seeing things changing like crazy, it is not and it's as common as it gets.

If you really want to make a big change, then I would suggest that has to be a place where things won't be easy, and you can't do much about it on the trends and just the original big names will make you some money from this period.

well you're literally making so much profit by just holding bitcoin and the profit possibly surpass BGB.

the reason BGB is in profit is because they like the distribute airdrop to the holders, which increase demand, because everybody wants free money, but bitcoin without all that is already giving you big profit.

just see when the airdrops are getting scarcer and most of airdrop become failure like what happened in previous bearish, coin like BGB might lose its value, because the value is coming from the fact that you get free money by just holding it.

I guess is a good advise for people to accommodate before going into any project, because the information you gather from different investors concerning a particular project, it will help you not to make mistake when it is time to earn profit from the project.

Those that have the tactics of earning profits from new token will not wait for so long before they will release the tokens to earn profit, because they know that the price will not pump long before it will dump for those that will buy late to experience losses from the token. It all depends on the token and it utility that makes investor to hold it for a long term or short one, because by default, the more people are holding a token the higher its prospect as it continue to circulate and increase in value, but many don't know this, dumping a project will always lead to a decrease in it performance and that is why some token distribution comes in phases or stages, so that everyone receiving the distribution will not ended selling at the same time, but it will create more avenue for holders to have something they can fall back on in the future after increasing in value.
