Correct. As for who I would be willing to help, it truly depends on the situation. Like I said, if I can help, I will. I can't promise, though, but I'll always do what I'm able. As for where I will share it, that is totally up to whoever needs the help. If they would like it posted here or turned into an article on Medium, I am happy to do so! If they wanted something else done—like an article, proofreading (non-native English speakers could benefit here with releases or articles), or troubleshooting—that would obviously be up to them 100%. I make edits on Wikipedia, mostly for grammatical errors, punctuation, or structure. I am open to any format.

I'm not necessarily doubting the good intentions of men, but these days, in the dirty world of cryptocurrency most especially, there might be no such thing as selflessness or altruism. And definitely no free lunch, too. Whatever happened to "Coin talks folks, you all know this. Let me work for a bit of yours"?

So, what's the catch? Is it with "I’ll do my best to connect you with resources that can" or "I will let you know and most likely suggest someone who can"?

No, none for now, you already said all the salient points and answered my questions. You know people get sceptical when something is offered for free, especially over the internet, there is always a suspicion that there is something extra that's hidden, and depending on who's offering, it could be dangerous or malicious.

So good thing that you are open to helping in any medium whoever is seeking help prefers. Goodluck. I also wouldn't forget to ask if i also need help in any of those stuff.

Sounds good, to be honest. You are willing to teach others free of cost whatever knowledge you have. It's a good initiative so far to improve the forum. Definitely users from the forum would ask you if they really need your help. What I assume is that you want to contribute to the forum. Yes, we can help each other by sharing our valuable knowledge.

Besides that, you may create a thread about some basic tutorials from which other users can learn. For example, if you know how to create a token, then you can create a thread regarding that with basic information. If you want, you may add a video tutorial as well if you want. That's how you can help forum users; of course, they can contact you directly if they need to know more extra things out of your thread.

i don't want to be that guy, but i feel i need to say this.

when someone offers help on the internet for free, you should always be skeptical, i mean, no clicking sus links, no private chat, no giving access, no downloading files, etc...
i'm not saying OP is gonna try do something, but you should always be carfull.

one wrong move and you could put yourself or your coins at risk, especially if you are looking for technical help.

the service discussion board is meant for comments and questions about services, not for offering one.

It's perfectly reasonable for people to be suspicious, nothing is free in our day and age, while the internet is filled with notorious people who are promising lectures and money towards those who pay for a spot in their "secret" guild. You're not doing that nor promising anything extravagant, but with so many scammers around, it's only logical that you don't trust someone off the internet.

I understand that you may have good intentions, but I'd suggest you to broaden your approach. User @The Cryptovator suggested to make a few public guides on a new thread on the forum, and I personally agree. That way, all of us who may not be interested initially can get a peak on what you're teaching, plus, you won't have to deal with each person individually.

If you're interested in sharing your knowledge for free, you should consider making topics (or creating a blog/brand if it's not entirely bitcoin related). Over time your content will reach thousands, rather than you teaching people individually/privately. It makes more sense to me though that's just my 2 cents.
