Because when nation and country moving towards success and building up to become super power then there is no time to think about indvidual needs or what each people need for example china they need to speed up their process and moving speed.
And once they are strong and super power nation then everybody will get their reward as freedom and even democratic regime.
Countries where democratic situation they will be slow because each indvidual need is counted but that will slow down the growth and building when nation need to get fast to the TOP no time to relax or asking what each person needs but need to work together for same mutual goal wich is to become dominant power of the world.
While west knows this that china been working hard to become strong the leaders of the west and wealthy ones of the WEST have 2 options, to move more wealth in china and making the strong cooperation with china or else destroy the china because usa don't need STRONG enemy.
So what we see the Capital moving into china from the west since richest guys getting ready for china golden age.
In otherwords china willl be new USA, now it all depends what trump will do will he let it happens China to grow and getting better or not since china is not strong yet enough to compete with USA by any means
So china people and others wait once you get powerful you get your freedoms.
