Good to see that the market has somewhat recovered, but we need the likes of ETH to move to $2k first and say that maybe we are in the bull run. ETH as it's the best altcoin for now although there is some competitions along the way.

I agree with your statement and indeed most investors also still believe that ETH is still the king of altcoins. But I have a thought whether this bullish season ETH is still valid as the king of altcoins? Because in this season I see ETH being weak not having an increase like the previous season. While there are several other Layer 1 altcoins such as Solana that have a greater increase than ETH. That way I became a little doubtful whether Ethereum could still be a benchmark for altcoins to enter the ALT season.

ETH is not the best altcoin.

It has performed terribly the last few years, many are tired of it and its high gas fees.

Many better altcoins out there now.

I do believe it will see new all time high later this year though around $5k, its just not the best anymore.

All I am thinking is that I have not changed what I did posted about this several times that altseason was 2024 that those coins increased up to 25 times. Although, some coins did not increase more than 5 to 10 times but some actually increased almost 100 times. Altcoins may increase when bitcoin is increasing but what that happened in 2024 in a way those coins increased much more significantly can not happen in 2025. Stop believing those news that says altseason is coming. 2024 is gone, altseason is gone.

The entire crypto market depends on the performance of bitcoin. If we believe that Bitcoin's bull season is not over yet, it can still go higher and hit more ATHs. Why are we denying altcoin season and assuming it's over?

But there is one thing we need to note: the altcoin season has changed a bit as the number of altcoin projects has increased significantly, causing the market to fragment. That is why we are unlikely to see a scenario where the altcoin market grows together as strongly as in previous cycles.
Therefore, we should lower our expectations instead of thinking they will bring x50, x100 profits and set the target too high.

Looking at the prices, crypto market is thriving right now of course, and that is a great thing and we should be very happy with it. There isn't anything that can prevent us from having any type of fear or refrain at the moment because it is finally going back up like we assumed it would. First it was under 80k, close to 70k, we even feared it would go down to 60k, but then it moved above 80k, and stayed there for a while which was long enough and we assumed it would go up quicker but it didn't and now we are finally seeing above 95k again.

There are two possibilities now, either we are going to end up with a much better approach and make some money by going up even some more, and keep doing what we have been doing, or we are going to end up start going the other way around.

The biggest gainer was SUI, which rose about 66% over the past week. Ethereum and Solana rose 12%, Dogecoin 15%, and XRP rose only about 5%. The rest of the major altcoins rose by small percentages, ranging from approximately 1-7%. Would you call this altcoin season?

I agree, it looks like it is not the way we should be approaching this and we can't really consider this to be the biggest deal here, because recovery is one thing, bull run is another. Alt season must have a period where btc dominance drops significantly and alts go up a lot, and not by this much, I mean a lot, some even 100%+ going up. That is why we can't call this an altcoin season just yet, we need to give it some time before we could make some moves further to make more money. If we can have some ideas on how to invest carefully into good huge coins then when the altcoin season comes there is a chance we could make as much as 100% and that would be better than any other investment out there in the traditional markets.

It went as low at $1500 if I'm not mistaken and if by chance it goes below $1k, then it will be a huge problem. Fortunately for us, we have a huge spike and it's price going to $1700. So this could really be a good sign. But let's see how it goes, market is really unpredictable but hopefully we experience the altcoin season starting next month.

Why is ALT season always related or compared somehow to how the price of ethereum is in the market or how it’s going to be performing in the market. Is it because Ethereum is the second best altcoin to come across in the market that makes it to be the pioneer of other altcoins and anything that gets to trigger the altcoins will be as a result of Ethereum facing a huge price spike? Some do not believe that the alt seasons will still come again and that it is over since 2024. I would just say that all this are just speculations and until that time we see bitcoin rising, ethereum rising also before we can just tell if Alt season is happening.

Yes, if you think about it, the difference is very far when BTC printed its new ATH but ETH was already at $3k-$4k, while now when BTC recovers, ETH cannot recover as before, the same goes for the best meme coins like Doge, which are now also in the price range of 0.18 even though previously Doge was also in the range of $0.3 at that time, I wonder if this is really Altseason and still at a discount price or are investors only putting their money in bitcoin? 🤔

Having a stable economy would likely be good for altcoins, but we can’t really trust that Trump will always act rationally. In the current environment, I would still consider altcoins to be a risky investment, but for the moment, there is relief when people see their portfolios starting to recover.

When portfolios begin to recover, then there is high probability that altcoins will also do the same and begin to recover. This said, not all altcoins will be able to recover from this market downturn because most of them are already out and are in exile. A good market which now feels like it depends on good economy of the American government will be a good time for all coins regardless of the type of altcoins as long as they have good backings from the project managers who are working tirelessly to see the success of the project more often.

People buy Bitcoin to push it to new highs and then they start rotating their Bitcoin profits into altcoins which means Bitcoin dominance drops and alt season begins?

And sometimes it happens together just that bitcoin will start then others will follow,  and sometimes or most times Bitcoin will start  then they will follow along the line and if you want you can just focus on altcoins than Bitcoin regardless of the dominance because with your little amount of money you will have more quantity and when the price goes up eventually you will make more gain, just that security of that altcoin is not secured so you instead invest in bitcoin than altcoin for security reasons. But there are people that invest in both. And when you have the funds there is nothing wrong with doing both. And now that altcoin is everywhere what we know from the beginning is Bitcoin and it was cheaper then than now but despite the price you can buy in fraction so money should not even be a problem. All that matters in this investment is not more than funds once the money is available them majority of the problem is solved.
