If only we had Canadian local board even though they speak English and French Even MotoGP has topic. Motorcycles as a sports isnt so popular, I would say that it is a sports with a lot of money but for enthusiasts. But compared to ice hockey and NHL money, they MotoGP is like a huge fat bug. Regards time difference - NBA games run at the same time, but we have huge NBA topic. Regards ice hockey being not so popular - we have a lot of users from US, cant be that there are no ice hockey fans between them.

Anyway, to the quarter finals. I am only sure in Canada vs Denmark game. Finland probably going to beat USA, they even managed to beat Canada in shootout series. And this year I would give Switzerland, Sweden, Czech Republic even chances of winning, Austria is only on a pinch weaker than those 3.

Big respect for Denmark. Yeah, they lost, miracle didn't happened. But not conceding goal for 45 minutes against Canada is something what eve best teams in World barely can achieve. And Canda goalkeeper had enough work today, it wasn't one sided game

Denmark made score 1:1! And it's 2:1. Denmark in semifinal, Canada eliminated! I have no words, how to go sleep after such game?
USA is going above my expectations, I really saw Finland as favorites. Good game with ups and downs from both teams. But there was bad signs in Finland game during whole tournament. They were struggling against every opponent, getting tough minimal wins
Sweden is too good for Czechia. Very powerful 1st period from hosts was decisive. Czech Republic made score 4:2 in 3rd period, what gave them some hope. But then they immediately conceded after leaving empty net and game was over.

When I wrote anout time difference, it's more about me personally. Don't know, maybe it's not issue for others. While NBA seems to be popular globally, not just in America. From Europe to Africa and Asia.

After seeing USA performance on this tournament, I was sure in Finlands victory. Probably early goal by USA has changed teams mood, because this tournament they had problems with moments realisation. Also that shows that later in the game they were catching team for some time. Then Finland gave them victory, look at time difference between 3rd and 4th goals.

Switzerland have all chances for gold or silver medals this year. Look how easy they have passed Austria. 6-0. This is how usually games end in prelims. In quarter finals usually there are no such weak or different in skill teams.

Yeah, Switzerland  is looking great. Yeah, Denmark yesterday made history with one of biggest upsets in WCH history, but I have no idea how something similar can happen tomorrow. But even playing for 3rd place would be huge thing for Denmark. And they have a chance there, it's possible that their opponent won't be that much motivated.
I predicted that Sweden will take gold and I don't chance my mind. Maybe Sweden haven't showed nothing extraordinary during tournament, but they're just better than USA and they should reach final.

Someone has earned a lot of money from betting on Denmark in a game against Canada. Do you happened to check yesterdays game odds? I think they were crazy. Last year Denmark has finish 7th in group stage and 13th overall ranking.

I predicted that Sweden will take gold and I don't chance my mind. Maybe Sweden haven't showed nothing extraordinary during tournament, but they're just better than USA and they should reach final.

Yeah saw it. I even saw screenshot of live odds when they were down 0:1 with few minutes remaining. I think it was over 100 .And today watching how they didn't stand a chance against Switzerland it looks even more crazy how the hell they beat Canada.
7:0 today is a bit brutal, but oh well, Denmark didn't eve n managed to score playing 3 on 5.

Sweden played their worst game of tournament and it happened when it matters most. 1st period was just awful when they made just 3 shots on goal. In 3rd period it looked that Sweden is making a comeback with 2 scored goals in few minutes, but USA didn't let it to happen.
USA - Switzerland in the final and now I already refrain from making any predictions.

I can say that USA surprised everyone with their performance. However I liked game for bronze medal more. If in a game for silver and gold teams play cautious, prefer not to risk, as 1 mistake could cost them gold medal, then in a game for bronze teams fight like lions, because one of them will go home without any medal. Ending tournament as 4th is the most bitter lost, as medals were that close Anywya, see you next year ?

Yeah, I didn't saw USA goingthrough 1/4 final and now they won whole thing. For the first time since dinosaurs were walking on the earth. Painful for Switzerland to lose 2nd final in the row and they're still without gold.
Yeah, final was most beautiful to watch, cost of mistake was too high. But I expected similar game. Only thing that I didn't liked is extra time format. 3 on 3 is just isn't right, IMO they should play full squads and then go to penalties.
3rd place game was fun indeed and I feel a bit sad for Denmark. Who knows when it will be next time when they will reach Top 4.
Next year we will have Olympics with NHL players, so, it's likely that World Championshiip won't have such importance. But anyway, see you next year!

I think they have changed rules for extra time or I am confusing it with Olympic games ice hockey, because they used to play 4x4 and have 2*10min periods, and play it non-stop. Now its 3x3 and 2*5min with 3 min pause between periods, also they play till first team scores a goal, not whole period until end. From spectators point of view, that is less entertainment for paid money From teams point of view - they would keep more strength for next game.

I am fully satisfied with Denmark performance. 4th place is good achievement for them, but biggest achievement on this tournament is them beating Canada. I would only reward them for that, and welcome as heroes when they get home with 4th place.

I believe we will meet again sooner, in February 2026, when Winter Olympic games and ice hockey starts
