What happened: Tor_Bit posted an announcement advertising non-kyc-exchanges-torbit.org a scam exchange which is has a lot of people complaining about it. It also appears that the scam has an alternate domain to non-aml-exchanges-torbit.net which is also scamming people

Be careful, this is a SCAM

First, they delayed the exchange until the next day, and then they openly started scamming me into making an additional deposit in order to complete the exchange (I had sent 0.5 ETH, and they asked me to send another 0.5 ETH to complete the transaction).
Message from Tor_Bit support:

“Sorry, the issue was that we are switching to a new payout system, and there is a minimum payout amount. For this type of exchange, the minimum amount was 1 ETH, so your exchange was put on hold.”

“You need to send a payment of 0.5 ETH to this address 0x. After the transaction is confirmed, you will receive XMR at your address.”

However, just 20 minutes before this exchange, I had successfully completed another exchange with them for a smaller amount, and there were no issues.

I asked for a refund, and they said it would be processed within 3–7 days (!), which I highly doubt.
Avoid this service at all costs — SCAM.

There is no chance that someone with any serious intentions will register a domain with three hyphens in the name. For any regular promotion of such a domain, it is a terrible job. That's enough for an alarm.
I noticed that scammers often use such domains, I guess, to make it clearer and obvious that they are targeting people with less technical knowledge.

I don't understand how some people can ignore the leading exchanges in the market and instead turn to these unknown ones. It seems that having “non-AML” and “non-KYC” in the domain name tempted people who are specifically looking for those features. However, the domain names look like a child registered them. Also, the tactic of depositing funds to complete an exchange or withdrawal is an old and well-known trick used by scammers.

In any case, I have supported the flag and tagged the scammer's account. I will try to file reports and complaints with the domain registrars to get these domains shut down completely.

This is my first time of hearing about the exchange as it's not popular as others, of course there are exchange that has already gained ground  and popularity over here into the forum, so I wonder why using them or it could be that because they are none kyc that is why you go try them out? I think before using this small exchange or non reputable exchange one needs to be careful so that you might not find his ways that has not gain crowd.

Undoubtedly the site is a scam site but I think it is almost impossible to scam by this site unless they contact privately and those private message should be locked for spamming so finally there is almost no chance to scam people as their site is not SEO friendly for their domain name. They targeted by the name of non-aml/non kyc.

They are promoting here so they would be able to scam people if they have not been tagged. But as they have been tagged, they won't be able to make us foolish, and also as they won't be able to make any scam for the negative tag. But they would scam if the tag not done. Yet if any forum member become scammed then they are too much fool and they should be scammed.
