[ANN] CoinTrader, a new Android app to trade on Cryptsy

Hey guys, here is an app I have worked on for the last couple weeks. I'm aware of people around here complaining about Cryptsy, and I have my own gripes about their site, but some people will appreciate an app like this. It allows you to see your current balances, open orders, trade history, current market data, and most importantly, allows you to place orders and cancel currently working ones. Just enable the API under settings, then enter the public and private keys into the app (these are encrypted when stored on the device), and off you go.

I think Cryptsy, like a lot of the marketplace currently, is going through some growing pains. Hopefully the experience gets better soon.

-Navigation drawer now opens automatically when successfully logged in
-New highlighting/formatting on market data page. Don't blame me if it looks goofy (crossed markets, last trade not updating, etc), I just display what Cryptsy says!
-Submit Orders pages now show available balances
-Buy page now has a "Pump" button that populates fields to buy as much as you can with the avail bal/mkt price
-Sell page now has a "Dump" button that populates fields to sell all your coins at mkt price

-New feature! Enable TapToTrade in the settings and have 4 configurable quantities that you can use to quickly place orders on the market data page. You can toggle whether you want to be able to confirm orders before they are placed. With TapToTrade enabled, simply tap in the appropriate bid/offer box where you want to place your order!

i'm getting an Authorisation error at the moment with Coin trader.

i've enabled my api and copied the settings. i've also tried an application key but neither work.

is this due to an API update? or have i got something wrong?

you're the only dev with an app like this for android so i'm kinda hoping i can get it working..

I think you contacted me via email already, but for anyone else experiencing the same issues (which is most likely everyone at this point)-

The only thing I can recommend right now is to keep trying (Go into credentials and back out of it until it loads all it needs). It appears there is something is going on with the Cryptsy servers. Each method call to the API is like 50-50 whether it authenticates properly or not. I've tried the new application key authentication mode, but that didn't work at all. I've opened up a support ticket with Cryptsy on the issue.

i've been using your App for a while and its the only one of its kind on the market. i love it!

unfortunately the recent update broke my ability to see the current balances.

i've sent a bug report via my phone but can send you anything else that will help bugfix.

The newest version (1.8.2) should have resolved all the issues on the balances page and the sell page. The balances page crashes were a result of Cryptsy deciding to start publishing USD markets with no available balance field in the currency.
