For me Bitcoin reaching a million is bold but not impossible especially when we consider how far it has come, it’s already defied countless odds. I think it would mark a fundamental shift not just economically but politically and culturally too. This is the future we shouldn’t rule out, it’s all about the long game even the change can be slow but seismic. This journey is one for the history books.

I am pretty sure that Bitcoin could become the most valuable currency in the world as you said, but I think it requires a lot of supporting factors, and one of them that I believe could be the main factor is the massive adoption of Bitcoin, and it could be like all countries or almost all adopt Bitcoin, or make it a national reserve so that it can happen, and so far this is the only thing I can imagine. But I still believe that it will happen, even though it will take about 40 years or more, and I hope I am still around when it happens and witness it.

Bitcoin has been consistently showing great advancement towards many other currencies and assets globally, this is because of its tremendous increase in adoption by the people and governments and institutions, there's lot to attribute towards this massive increase and bitcoin in few years time will turned a great asset and digital currency everyone will adopt to use, countries accepting it as a legal tender and so on.

Just like most Bitcoin believers say, we don't know what the future would look like but we can only hope that it would get better, and with the way Bitcoin is going, their's hope for a better future so it's okay to say that could be the leading currency in the future, that's what we all hope and wish for, well the signs are their, atleast we now have a pro Bitcoin sec chairman and those harsh regulations by the previous administration have been dissolved, several countries have been to declare their interest for owning a reserve in future so there's much hope cause if more people keep adopting the use of Bitcoin, especially as a store of value, it would be more scarce thereby increase in value, many folks are already picturing Bitcoin at $1m in years to come and if it happens that means it has the potential of being the leading currency in future.

The problem with BTC being a currency is its innate nature- it cannot be transformed into a physical currency in which everyone can have. Its nature purely exists in the internet which makes it somehow impossible for every person in the world to have. While it is definitely the best interests for us for BTC to become a currency, its very nature makes it not feasible for the time being.

Another thing that will happen is that awareness about Bitcoin will increase because when something is valuable it attracts attention so this will lead to making Bitcoin more popular around the world which will directly also contribute to making sure that more people adopt Bitcoin use across the world

This is true but we have to be realistic when it comes to its implementation.

I just hope that there will be a method to make everything faster when it comes to its transactions under the market. There are some problems with regard to its usage especially to transaction fees. Probably in the near future, this would be solved and its implementation would be feasible.

We never know what the future holds for Bitcoin, of course everything can change at any time, even though we are all very optimistic about the future. Bitcoin has become a favorite in the world of investment, not only attractive to individual investors, but bitcoin has also attracted the interest of institutions and governments. A bright future is certainly hoped for, meaning market strength and market capitalization can be higher than now.

Bitcoin is certainly still difficult to reach the price of $1m, but I agree that nothing is impossible. It may take us a few bull cycles to get bitcoin to hit $1m, this will take time and more confidence among investors.

What happens? First of all, we need to establish when it could actually happen. Bitcoin would have to be valued at $1 million per coin at least in order to be the leading currency. When this finally happens, we can expect that adoption would be greater than ever.  Maybe take that and multiply into 100x. Now, we are seeing more countries take bitcoin and add it into their reserves. But when bitcoin reaches $1 million, other countries would be forced to add bitcoin into their reserves if they haven't done it yet.

The power that the leading nations (US, China) would lessen and shift towards bitcoin. And these are all positive things of course especially if you are already holding bitcoin right now. You are the future, my friend. Anyway, now let's talk about the possible challenges.

Bitcoin being the leading currency would mean it needs to brace itself for global use which would mean that it needs to have a larger scalability. Will layer solutions be enough or will there be a new solution that will emerge in the future?

Despite many optimistic investors, I do not think bitcoin will be reaching $1 million any time soon though I do have confidence that it will at some point. Just probably not tomorrow. Because to achieve that, it needs to achieve the highest market capitalization as well as absolute global acceptance. Do you think major powers like the United States or China would let that happen? Will the US accept that the USD is no longer the dominant world currency? Will China accept a currency that is not controlled by them? I don't think they would agree with that.

If bitcoin becomes the world's dominant currency, people will concentrate on holding it to increase its value and spend less. That would cause the economy to enter a deflationary phase and if this continues, the economy will stagnate or even collapse.


Personally, I don't expect this to happen and I don't believe it will. Because governments agreed to abandon the gold standard in 1971 and adopt fiat, they will never again use an asset scarcer than gold as currency. They would never even allow bitcoin to become a currency, let alone become the world's dominant currency .

Every country has its own currency and they all want their currency to be the main currency of the world because that is the way to become the dominant country in the world. Therefore , the prospect of bitcoin becoming the world's number 1 currency is almost impossible.

I agree with you because personally, I already see bitcoin as a leading currency despite that it's ranked number ten on the table, because bitcoin increases in value overtime and is a hedge to inflation. Other fiat currency on top nine table are prone to inflation and depreciates overtime. Bitcoin is more than a currency but also an asset with the fastest growth in value overtime. Decentralized makes bitcoin kill all fiat in value.
