Gambling problem in the Philippines.

Corruption exists in every country, but the level of it in the Philippines is just on another scale. Many leaders prioritize their own interests over the welfare of the people, and the idea of being a true public servant often disappears right after they win the election.

They can frame certain policies as ways to generate government revenue, but when those policies end up hurting the poor, there should be action from them. The problem is, they don’t act. In fact, they even make it easier for us to gamble, which only adds to the burden.

And addition to that, they are just interchanging position from time to time personal interest over the platform that they usually provide when they are seeking for the position but once they've already earned people trust or they already bought people's votes then they'll start taking opportunities to seek for their personal intentions that's why corruptons really taking place, linking that to the topic, gambling is also part of that corruptions as most of the protectors are either government officials or the Police officers that also in the power of the said officials..

In short the people in power is milking the people's money specially the poor, why? people with low income or have less are the one's taking chances on gambling, gambling in town are sometimes run by the local government mayor or its under his/her protection, they allow gambling for tax, and getting money from the poor, while like you said the family on power just switch place with son or daughter even in the higher position in the senate, and use the power for those activities.

In short the people in power is milking the people's money specially the poor, why? people with low income or have less are the one's taking chances on gambling, gambling in town are sometimes run by the local government mayor or its under his/her protection, they allow gambling for tax, and getting money from the poor, while like you said the family on power just switch place with son or daughter even in the higher position in the senate, and use the power for those activities.

This is an online gambling operation, the mayor has nothing to do with it since it’s available nationwide. The only person who can really do something about it is the president as he could order a stop to the operation or have it removed from the GCash app, so people wouldn’t have such easy access to it. That might not fully solve the problem, but it would likely help minimize it.

What you can hope from others including from the government? Or what should the government do in your opinion?
Once the government do what most people want, do you think that it will bring enough effects or reduce the gambling problem significantly?
Gambling problem comes from the gambler themselves IMO, so whatever the government can do is mostly about preventing but the choice is on the gambler’s hands.
When a problem is coming from ourselves, we cant rely for others to solve the problem but it should be started from ourselves first whether we are willing to overcome the problem or not.
I wont blame any other parties when it comes to gambling problem, the gamblers are the one to be blamed why they have the problem.

If the Philippine government has designated special areas for tourists to gamble and prohibited the local population from gambling in most casinos, then it simply must enforce this. There is a law, so there must be structures in place to enforce it. In practice, the local population gambles at the nearest illegal casinos, which, as I understand it, are located almost everywhere, and at online casinos via VPN. Do you think the local population would be able to gamble unchecked if the owners of such illegal casinos received decent prison terms for illegally providing gambling services and the Philippine government blocked VPNs? I am sure that among the most vulnerable segments of the population, the level of gambling addiction could be significantly reduced simply because gambling would become more expensive.

Not only the president, but also the Gaming Authority.  Actually, the license and operation of these kinds of activity like online gambling is governed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation or PAGCOR and if it is local the Local Government Unit is the one giving licenses. There are other institutions that give license on gambling platform depending on its location or function but for online gambling that operates nationwide, PAGCOR is the one responsible for it.

So for these apps (online gambling) to be removed from GCASH I think PAGCOR should be the one to act on it.

You're right, some of these governments are not accepting the use of gambling platforms in an open environment in other not to attract more people into it, with the hope that they are seeking for a fast opportunity of making money by gambling, while the actual fact is not so, if the tourist were allowed, then there must be a designation for them, while the citizens should take caution on what has been prohibited in other for them not to face sanction, am still wondering what could have happened if my country go against gambling and how i will react on it.

Any prohibitions affect poor people to a greater extent. Most likely, the governments of many countries understand this and impose restrictions of this kind to protect them, since poor people usually do not have sufficient education to understand the simple truth that gambling is not a way to make money quickly, but an entertainment that requires spending money.

Well, even if they remove the GCash (FYI: GCash is a wallet app) application to deposit money in a regulated online casino in the Philippines, there are still so many payment options that's left, so it will continue.

For me, the real problem is the "no show" of the house edge and the RTP of each game. I have played many times with two of the big names that are licensed by PAGCOR, and I felt like the house edge is way too high, so that it's almost impossible to win with just a little amount of capital. I don't know if it's my luck, but there's always a system, so they must've tweaked something so they have the advantage. But it went too far.

That's also the actual conditions involved, the gamblers leaving in a rural under developed areas may get affected in most of these regulations coming from the government, since they had no choice than to use the physical gambling casino to gamble, while in a modern technology and the major cities, you will discover on how gamblers are using the comfort of their mobile devices to gamble anonymously and can even choose the kind of gambling platform they want to use that may have some fare regulations or even without kyc challenge in using them.
