The part of the ocean between UK and europe is called the english channel. This is unfair and should be renamed to europe's channel.

USA recently commanded the world to rename the gulf of mexico to the gulf of america, and the world obeyed. With that example set we should use the same logic to justify renaming the english channel to europe's channel.

It doesn't matter that it has always been called the english channel because the gulf of mexico was always called gulf of mexico.

It is time for the world to change all maps to have that part of ocean now known as europe's channel.

What do you think? Do you have any comments or thoughts about why this change is good or bad?

I tuned my TV to the English Channel and got nothing. I got lots of stuff when I tuned it to the American Gulf... a gulf full of stuff. I guess we should change the English Channel to the English Gulf. Lol.

well if its callled the euro channel then europe has to deal with all the migrant boats leaving france and heading to the UK.. so im sure europe dont want that as the UK can then defend the shores and send the migrants back
europe like the way things are whereby once migrants are in the water its no longer europes problem

..
lets talk about the TUNNEL under the sea..
europe DO have to deal with migrants trying to get into trucks/cars to use the tunnel, because the tunnel is a "euro tunnel"

so europe dont want to then have to then border guard all of the shores of france to stop migrants on boats on the channel(if names were changed to euro channel)

..
though the UK would benefit against migration if a name change occurred.. but would lose out on fishing rights and other legal property rights if a name change occurred

That would be supper funny yes, but I think is better "the African Highway" or the "strait of cross at will", given that the Brits seem absolutely unable to deal with the illegal immigration into the UK. And honestly, I am not sure that the immigrants that cross to Europe have a clear picture of how difficult is to make your living in Europe without qualification in a continent in which people are clearly overeducated.

https://www.leshuttle.com/uk-en/eurotunnel

channel = the water/sea
tunnel = underground tunnel

the euro tunnel is still the euro tunnel.. and yes im talking about the actual tunnel

where as the COMPANY that manage the trains that transport through the tunnel, the COMPANY that manage the maintenance of the tunnel changed from
"eurotunnel le shuttle" to "le shuttle"

as for the channel which is the sea between england and france. as i said if there was a name change, the UK would benefit via changes of migration policy, but would lose out on shipment customs policy and fishing rights. basically all the import trade into the uk from france and ships that use the english channel
