Happy 4th halving! The block reward is 3.125 coins for the next 1 million blocks.

So, what's up? The original plan was to prepare a hard fork and release v0.7 with it. However it appeared more challenging and time consuming than expected, so my back-up plan was to release a maintenance update on the v0.6 branch to keep up with the progress. After all, the v0.6.6.2 release is 5 years old, though still functional. The last commit to the v0.6 branch is almost 3 years old, and this code base cannot even be compiled as it is on modern Linux distros with their default compilers and libraries. On the other hand, v0.7 beta does. It also offers better performance and functionality. So, the current plan is to release v0.7 without a hard fork scheduled and retire v0.6 entirely, though it can be used still. I'm going to merge the last bit of code from the v0.6 branch to v0.7 which is advanced checkpointing, also apply a few minor patches and make a release by the end of week. If you have any suggestions about v0.7, what should be added or fixed, let me know.

I sincerely do not understand you who make such claims. Why are you getting involved in something you are absolutely incompetent in? It’s even more of a mystery to me why you take your money to something you have absolutely no understanding of and then present your baseless claims? I have already repeated many times that your greed and desire for quick and easy money will destroy you. I repeat once again, Phoenixcoin is a decentralized open-source project. There are no owners or bosses here. We bought (mined) our coins just like each of you did. Ghostlander and I are the same community members as each of you, the only difference is that we work on our own enthusiasm (no one pays us for this) and you only make claims and think that someone will do everything for you. If you want to join the development, you can always leave your suggestion and edits on Github.. The same applies to everything else - exchanges, prices, trading volumes, etc.. If you don’t like something, then take the initiative and do as you see fit - list PXC on exchanges, increase trading volume, raise the price, etc., but there is no need to make unfounded claims and think that someone will do everything for you. Nothing will happen and the price will continue to slowly fall further if the community remains inactive and only makes claims.

You were right, years later you will send this message to me again or say the same thing to someone, I just want to know that you are alive, that's why I'm asking the question.

Phoenixcoin v0.7 beta3 is ready, please test it. If everything is alright, it goes into production in a few days to replace v0.6.6.2 eventually and completely.

v0.7 is good to go. Executables for all four supported targets (Windows 32-/64-bit, Linux/amd64, Mac 64-bit) have been uploaded yesterday. Upgrade from v0.6.6.2 isn't required at this moment, though advised strongly.

Note that github.com/ghostlander/Phoenixcoin refers to the v0.7 repository now. The previous repository has been renamed to Phoenixcoin-v0.6 there.

You should wait until the block chain download is complete. Your wallet will process an up-to-date advanced checkpoint right after and this message will disappear. No need to send coins or do anything to your wallet.dat as its structure hasn't been changed since v0.6. You can simply use your wallet.dat from v0.6 with v0.7. The address you have provided hasn't received any coins yet.

As you know probably, the XeggeX exchange went out of business in June. They haven't recovered from a hack earlier this year in February. This leaves Phoenixcoin being traded on FreiExchange/FreiXLite only which don't offer any USDT trading pairs.

We have submitted listing requests to many exchanges this year and there have been positive answers, but the fact is that any exchange requires a set-up fee in USDT these days. It ranges from a few thousand USDT for emerging or regional exchanges to hundreds thousand USDT for the most popular ones such as Binance.

Phoenixcoin has always been a community driven project with fair coin distribution through mining. Any coin holder has either mined them or bought them. The developers including myself are no different. I have been paying for hosting of our web site, block explorer, seed nodes and P2Pools in the past 12 years out of my own pocket and cannot afford to pay listing fees to exchanges as well. Therefore I have to ask for your support in this matter because everyone in our community benefits from it.

Here are the donation addresses. We need to raise a few thousand USDT at least. Money donated will be used only for the purpose outlined above. I shall also contribute just like anyone else. I believe we can take Phoenixcoin to the next level together rather than do nothing and see nothing happening.

If you continue to do nothing, as you have been doing for many years, there will come a time when your nerves will give out and you will sell your coins very cheaply. The longer you do nothing, the lower the price will be. As I have said many times, nothing will happen by itself, so do not hope that someone will do everything for you.
