On October 31, 2025, my Bitcoin balance in the ViaBTC mining pool was automatically transferred to my old and inaccessible wallet address due to what appears to be a system bug, and before reaching the payout threshold I had personally set.
I always review my registered withdrawal addresses when the balance approaches the auto-payout threshold. However, since my Bitcoin balance had not yet reached the threshold this time, I did not check the exchange wallet address.
Despite this, ViaBTC transferred my funds without any prior notification, and due to an internal issue, sent them to an outdated and unusable address. The pool now refuses to take any responsibility for this mistake.
Furthermore, ViaBTC has not responded to any of my recent emails or support tickets, and in their last reply they simply disclaimed responsibility, suggesting that to avoid such issues I should delete the old wallet address and disable the auto-withdrawal feature.
What makes the situation even more concerning is that ViaBTC support, instead of acknowledging the error and addressing the issue, only advised me to disable auto-withdrawal and remove the old address — even though this is clearly a system bug that requires public notification to prevent other users from being affected.
Additionally, ViaBTC should compensate the loss caused by this premature, unannounced, and unintended transfer, but so far they have taken no action and continue to ignore my emails and support tickets.
