Why does most people neglect security?

On every forum and community, there are experts always saying to focus on your security first. It's a digital world, once your funds are stolen, it can't be reversed. I don't know why new users don't follow this advice, and maybe that's because they are in a hurry, leaving something important for hackers. If you can't secure yourself or your wallet, then your money will flee to the hackers, so it's better to take precautions before blaming and yelling at yourselves.

Phishing attacks always send big offers, which makes greedy people click on them very quickly and don't think twice about clicking. Basically, those who do phishing attacks target greedy people. Because a single tempting offer can turn some people off, and no one will ever click on anything else. And those who are greedy enter the phishing link without thinking about their security, in the greed of getting something big. Which helps hackers to take control of their device. Then they take all the information or documents on their device. And sometimes they blackmail them with some private documents and demand more money.

It is not always like that users always receive emails or tempting offers from hackers and as a result, users fall into their trap out of greed and lose both their data and money because many times it is seen that users download various malware-laden files while downloading crack files of various software or games and at the same time their data goes to hackers and later hackers can use them to steal their funds.

Personally, I think that even in this era, if we introduce ourselves as irresponsible, there is nothing we can do. In this era, just as we feel comfortable taking advantage of the internet or technology, we should also be aware of its security.

Sometimes, it's a little oversight or a single act of carelessness that ends up exposing people to the risk that's capable of leading to loss of ones asset. A lot of crypto users are generally careless with their security even when dealing with exchanges expecially the ones that are commonly used by the majority of people. Because a lot of people are using it, there's every tendency that they might become comfortable and become negligence in terms of taking care of their privacy.

Ignorance is no longer an excuse as far as matter of security is concerned. What's rather the case is an act of negligence that leads to carelessly leaving out key things we should normally take seriously.

In the cryptospace, the slightest mistake could make someone lose so much money. This is why it is important to pay attention to details. I tell people whom I have introduced to a new venture to ask questions before carrying out any task that involves privacy and money. Some of them fall victim due to laziness and stinginess. They don't want to keep learning about how to protect their funds. There are cases where someone would have thousands of dollars in an unprotected or exposed online wallet. They just don't want to spend some money on a hardware wallet or spend time to learn how to use an airgapped wallet.

Alot of people keep complaining about scam   but you will be  surprise to see them falling victim to that same scam they're complaining about. Sometimes I keep asking myself how? But at some point I realized that greed can contribute to that. Because alot of people knows how this scammers operate but when it comes to the time of offer they always find it hard to let go. take for instance those airdrop projects that requires linking our wallets, some people see this very common not knowing that scammers can use this method to gain access to their wallets.

My question is: before these people go ahead downloading those wallet don’t they have a guidance  here or around them?

Sometimes, people use search engines, and they end up on a fake website, where they download a fake wallet, and they are scammed.

Why are hackers and scammers are that much in the space does it mean that people are longer safe while clamouring for financial freedom?

The same reason highway robbers steal people's money on the road. The crypto market is now worth trillions of dollars. The meteoric growth has also caught the eyes of bad guys, and sadly, as the market keeps growing, the number of scammers will keep increasing. There's nothing anyone can do other than equip themselves with the right information to protect them from scammers.

from some of the cryptocurrency news that I have been following up I have to understand that security is our utmost priority but some people do not always apply security measures in their wallet or are too careless about their seed phrase. I came across a post or do I say an article that explains how some imported his seed phrase on a mobile wallet advertised on social media and instantly his wallet was drained, again another person imported his seed phrase on a new wallet that doesn’t have a mobile version rather than only desktop version and was wiped.

The most important thing people should often make sure is well protected is the seed phrase. You can have your funds in your wallet, but the seed phrase should be well kept, because if you have already made a crypto wallet and you refused to keep your seed phrase safe, that can lead to your money being in danger. If someone, somewhere, gets hold of your seed phrase, they can get access to your wallet and steal the money you have in your wallet, as the seed phrase is basically the key to your wallet, and once they steal your money, there's no way to get it back.
And again, it is also a good idea to check your wallet security often, whenever you think your seed phrase might have been seen or saved somewhere unsafe, it's good to just move your funds to a new wallet immediately to avoid regret later or loss of funds.

it just matter of awareness. Some of this people aren't aware of some of the security measures that they needed to put in place in other to protect themselves from potential hack. Some are aware of the security measures they need to employ in other to protect themselves against being hacked. However, due to the high rate of cyber crime this hackers always come up with new tricks that most people aren't aware of, and at the end they will end up compromising there own security and there granting hackers unauthorized access to there system, network or data.

People vary from discipline, ideology, believe, or in character. Most people handle confidence with caution, that is, they do not allow confidence to rule, or make them feel extremely perfect about a situation.

Overconfidence can make people neglect security. When people begin to think, and consider how real, perfect, or experienced they are about something, they end up losing their security for trust.

Some people are just ignorant about keeping there seed phrase more secured.cause they feel people might not get the knowledge of what it is, while some don't have the knowledge about securing there wallets because there have no idea how important it is.people learn everyday but is bad to learn it the hard way by losing all you asset through carelessness.And most people tutoring a newbie about cyrpto should try as possible to teach them how important it is to secure your wallets.

Some people are not updated they believed that the security they setup will be forever safe, technology evolves hackers find a way to crack those security overtime over confident and careless make them doomed,
hackers and scammers find a better way without even talking to the victim personally, less effort and anonymous that is why they are all over the internet, why would a scammer, waste time on scamming personal or appear on a person if they can do that digitally, while hackers are already here before crypto, they just level up or move into crypto since their are lots of potential targets.
