This is slightly incorrect. You are missing the word more here. It is normal human nature to desire success. Greed is when you can't be satisfied by any success, financial and otherwise, and you continue to demand more.

It is possible to have a healthy relationship with gambling, but of course we have to use gambling as entertainment, not as a means of earning money. Those who accept gambling as a means of earning money can never have a healthy relationship with gambling, they become addicted to gambling and eventually destroy themselves. However, there are some strategies for gambling, if we can follow those strategies correctly, then we can definitely accept gambling as entertainment. What we need to do to gamble responsibly is to use very little money, stop excessive emotions, avoid excessive greed, etc. If all these strategies can be used in gambling, then we can definitely have a healthy relationship with gambling, moreover, being overly emotional and using excessive money can never create a good relationship with gambling.

Some might treat gambling as a way out of their lives, their poverty that's why they go and maybe have the dream that they can one day win big and change their lives for the better. But the question is what if it didn't happen? So that's where the illusion come into picture as they become delusional. But whatever the case maybe, as gamblers it's better to just play for fun and not put any pressure on us to win. It could be that win might come in any form or when we least expected. Maybe that is the real secret, don't force it, as we don't know that lady luck may came in one day without us noticing it until it happens in front of us.

Unfortunately, because of poverty, many people cannot see ways to change their lives for the better and start earning more. And they bring themselves to such great despair that they begin to see gambling as an opportunity to change their lives, although in fact the best ways to improve their economic situation are to improve their education and broaden their horizons.

After all, in the end, investments are not the most difficult and reliable methods.

I believe that there is not a single positive argument in favor of the presence of greed in any person, including a gambler.
Because greed implies that a person can never be satisfied with the amount of money he has on hand.

Agreed, it's just not worth considering unless the person  has just agreed that they are going to be playing with the amount they can afford to lose while hoping that any day a big luck shines on their part, they will embrace it. That does not mean that the person should not give more attention to a different source of income that will help them to achieve a wealth. If the person is only considering gambling as a source of income, it will affect the so bad.

I agree with you, but the point that I am trying to make is that people are hypocrites and have no standards of objective approach towards these behaviors. They normalize some of them but for others they discourage them strongly as something bad. You can also see this with another example. They will often point out and criticize someone who got addicted to gambling, but when it happens to them they will try everything possible to admit and deny it.

Gamblers are wild dreamers and are found of doing things like this and thats why many never come to the realization that every gambler should atleast lower their expectations when it comes to winning but i guess thats the whole aspect of gambling is probably based on the fact that it's all on hope and what will be even if the odds are all against you.

Some people are greedy. The main reason they started to gamble is because they want to make money from it but that is not possible. Gambling can be for fun if you set aside money that you used for it and it should not be more than 1% of your weekly income. Anytime you spend more than that, know that you are getting towards addiction already and change back to 1% of weekly income to gamble weekly.

Honestly, the best advice IMOH should be total abstinence, especially for folks who lack total control of their emotions, but for those who feel they can't completely stay away from gambling, it's always crucial to just as you've rightly stated, approach with extreme caution. because all these folks who ended up getting addicted never actually planned for it from the onset, they only found themselves in such situation due to the bad choices they made in their journey as gamblers, and this is mostly due to their inability to control their emotions, which results to several bad choices.

Sometimes you cannot blame completely on those who want to use gambling as a escape route from poverty, for some one who hails from a developing nation, little to almost no means of survival and very scares job opportunities and yet they hear and sometimes see how a few persons gets to win big and have their lives changed thereafter, the next thing they will do will be to opt for a trial to see if they will be the next lucky person.

This isn't me supporting such mentality but stating some actual reality. Playing gambling for fun sounds like the healthiest way of gambling until you get addicted to the fun and start loosing yourself to it then you think gambling for fun was a better thing you would have done but see you are now loosing yourself to it, be it for fun or money, always have a limit of gambling beyond which you do not gamble, maybe that will help even for those that have dreams or those that just want to gamble.
