There also maybe some new tweeks to the website as well (TOS, emails required and such).
While you're at it check if your API protocol is working as it should. It may just be me but I tried it months ago and failed to get my signed messages accepted. I also couldn't reproduce the example that existed in the docs no matter what I did Tongue

Aye, will!

That's weird, the API should be fine because all the site rails users use on our front end are using our API in actuality.

If you could, shoot me over and details, we will take a look at it and make the fix to make it more obvious.

I'll be happy to take a look.

(edit: Got your PM, thank you.  I will get back to you with the solution.)

Ok, so here is the plan:

We are going to come online after our audit tool.  I'll post a very clear post about what is owed.  It will be paid back with commissions and the partner is still continuing to liquidate shit.

It'll be taking from Peter to pay Paul at launch a bit, but it will be transparent.

I think it'll be pretty smooth... I'll have more details later.

You may also see some changes to the webpage today.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING FUCKED UP, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!! Thank you Tongue

I'll edit this post when we get her up and I start auditing.

Tonight we came back online quietly.  All parts of our site should be active again.  Please use with care because the books might be thin as people start building them back.

I'm only going to slightly change notices because I don't want to encourage site use until I make a post tomorrow with details on how upside-down Bitcoin is (keep reading).  Everything else should withdraw fine, so if you want to sell Testnet3 and withdraw Monero, no problem at all.

Bitcoin withdrawals that slide into pending will be filled as we make payments or as Peter deposits... regardless of the peter and paul payments, we are going to get the base amount covered ASAP.

We have several plans to cover, for example, Bitcoin Testnet 4 deposits are still on pause while we liquidate our 500,000 TBTC stash.  Right now the stash is for sale @ 39 sats a pop and I think that is fairly fair.  Those coins are instantly available for withdrawal as well because only Bitcoin got hit in any terrible fashion.

Tomorrow I'll have details and addresses for repayment monitoring for transparency.

As of right now, the BTC IOU balance appears to be: ~0.20936839 BTC, and the repayment address is bc1qjmutwhqyyqhprwruplps8f8y09fcl7u4dpd85q. The first .18 BTC repayment went to a different address, and can be seen in a previous post.

Sounds like a bunch, but keep in mind... we move around a few coins & our accounts hold BTC as well. Wink

People with small balances.  You may consider waiting a few days while our books hopefully fill back up with orders.  I'm not sure how fast that will be or if it will be slow until we are above water OR if you crazy bastards go wild over night.

Unchartered waters.

I'll have more details tomorrow.

Thanks for letting us get all this straightened out.

(Edit 10-27-2025:  I was going to make the post tonight with details for pinning in our markets page, but I'm dead tired from salon work and I'll get it done tomorrow.  Site is functioning smoothly.  All altcoins are good, so if you need to deposit BTC and buy ____ do it with confidence.  Bitcoin withdrawals could be delayed due to chaining deposits to fulfill withdrawals, but thus far, only one person is caught in it.  I'm going to send an email out and hopefully a few of our whole coin users will be back on the system and everything will be flowing back to normal.)

Midnight U.S.<>lunchtime Australia

Signed in okay. Just poking around now -- got 18 sats of 42-coin!

EDIT: put some LTC on. Somehow had Btc dust -- so got a buy-bid for tBTC4.

Everything seems to be working.

I said I was going to post today, but I'm extremely tired.

Just a quick update:  All Bitcoin withdrawals have been covered, we covered the massive October bank run 100% and with only a few minor delays.  Our exchange has been online for 6 years almost now and the books are off by just a tiny fraction of what we've processed (off ~0.15 btc now give or take, which is basically dust, but still... yuck.)

Our Bitcoin hot wallet has enough Bitcoins to cover even our largest users.  Future Bitcoin deposits will not be hurt by this event and will be fully available.  So I feel pretty comfortable this evening going to bed for the first time this month... still a little concern, but we just got to manage stuff sharply for a bit and we should come out of this way stronger than we were before.

If you are depositing Bitcoin to buy Altcoins... no worries, your withdrawals will process right away.

If you are selling Altcoins to get Bitcoin, you should be fine as well because we cleaned off the majority of our books and those are "fresh" coins.

If you are coming back from 2019-2022 and doing a withdrawal... lol, you bastard! (har har jk jk do it!). This will cause disturbances for Bitcoin only.|

If anything looks funny or feels funny, let me know with a contact ticket.  It's possible I'm overlooking something... there isn't exactly a college class or library book on how to handle this type of Bitcoin Bullshit. Tongue But I think we are golden from here.

In other exchange news.  I made the decision to delist Ethereum and the "stable" coin scam tokens USDT & USDC associated with it.

Please continue to withdraw those three coins.  Small balance users can still trade them.  I unlocked trading for people who collected dust amounts through the faucet or whatever.

I'll post more in the near future... it's been a long stressful week of figuring out how to make rent without tapping any cryptocurrency.  I don't intend on taking anything off this until it is made right for everyone.  A captain getting off on a lifeboat while shit is still "ehh" is disgusting to me.

So on a 1-10 level of "ehhh" I'd say we are at a 4.4 ATM, so fairly low and it feels safe enough to let everyone start doing their thing.  People doing their thing = us having yet another way to cover everything faster too, win win.

Big fucking thank you to the folks who have stuck with us and continue to trade with us.  It blows me away that some people are beating me to the punch on trades already... we had someone running a bot on us before our bot was running...

I'll post more details soon.  Please feel free to comment, question or whatever.  Feedback is appreciated.

Praying for smooth waters from here.

Talk about a wild October.

Any thoughts on how public our exchange users would want an audit?

Is that something users in this niche would even want or is having a tight internal audit with a kill switch built in good enough?

Thoughts?

Also, the charts are a little funky right now.

We will be adding back charts with different time intervals.  Daily's only sucks.

There were two days of funky charts (I don't often use charts). I think they will remain funky, but going forward, it'll be fixed when it is (likely tomorrow morning).

'Any thoughts on how public our exchange users would want an audit?'

Textual pollution/data pollution is the bubonic plague of our era both online and off. So, perhaps a ‘thumbnail’ of data, with an offer to PM questions, would be the right balance.

Testnet 4 deposits are now live.  Happy trading!

https://altquick.com/exchange/market/BitcoinTestnet4

I wasn't really a fan of cornering the market like that. I think I can naturally liquidate coins as needed.

These things have value because of the people that participate in them; some come on in if you want.

Happy trading and thanks for using us.

I don't think you are big enough for that. Maybe redirect your efforts toward growing the exchange so that your daily volume is not like 0.01BTC. Advertising a little and adding "hot" coins or even new pairs (eg. DOGE-BTC -> DOGE-LTC) for trading may work.

It's definately something we want to get right when we are small vs figure out the hardway when we are large, IMO.

I agree, though.

Also, I'll get back to you with that API question after Halloween weekend!  Early next week.

Site is smooth sailing atm.  Liquidity is starting to make its way back... talk about site volume, what a horrible time to go down as we were getting thick books through multiple markets...  O well, it'll happen again.

Thanks for the deposits.

'and adding "hot" coins or even new pairs (eg. DOGE-BTC -> DOGE-LTC) for trading may work.'

New pairs? Yes.

But 'hot coins' are now synonymous with dishonesty. Surely we can find twenty or thirty excellent established coins to add to Altquick if needs be.

No changes or coin adds for at least the rest of the year.

(Unless someone bribes the shit out of me haha)
