Two of the most active spaces in crypto are X and YouTube, where people  talk about coins and projects. Almost any idea you can think of gets covered daily. But a lot of the noise comes from influencers, they hype projects they hold, trying to build awareness so others buy in and they can make profit.

There’s nothing wrong with promoting crypto investments, but most of the time these guys aren’t fully honest. They push hard to convince people to buy while leaving out the negative side. That’s why you shouldn’t take everything they say all the time.

Most of them only care about the money, not the product: When an influencer talks about a project, it’s usually because they’re either paid to promote it or they already hold it themselves. Getting you to buy just helps them make more money.

They don’t care about feedback and your experience: Once they share advice or promote a project, they move on and never look back because they have already pocketed the money from that project or money from the coin. Their focus is always on the next project that is going to give them money and make them more, whether the product is worth it or not.

If you want to learn anything crypto related, make sure not rely on one source of information, double check and by that I mean do more research because they can be right about some information but 60% of what they say might not be it. Be careful of information's that you get  from YouTube and X influencers.

You're right These influencers are content creators Their goal is to keep introducing new things, regardles of how it will affect others not only when it comes to Bitcoin investment but also how it will affect their lifestyle All they want is likes and views. That's why The best way to get real information is to do your own research and build your own lifestyle not following the words and advice of people who are only interested in themselves.

 And remember With scams everywhere my best advice is to stay sharp because they could just introduce a fake token or project with too much hype, which will draw the attention of their fans who are investors into a pump and dump and It won't even affect them that's just it.

Nice content OP.........Honestlly many of this social media influencers out there promotes contents mainly because of self-interest...... But at the same time, not all of them actually falls into that category. Some actuallly share quality and educational content, and even warnings about the potential outcome.m of certain projects they promote.......In order for us not to fall victims to thosr selfish and self interested influencer we shouldn't depend on there popularity or how many followers they have rather we should always ensure that we do our own research and also it is very risskky to depend on one source, so we should always diversify the sources of this research, compare them, and then pick from the points that make the most sense.......

The best way for us to o diversify our sources of research is simply for us to balance what you hear from those influencers with what you find we find in whitepapers, community discussions of those project and then you do you own independent analysis. Once we can do all of this, certainly one would get a much more clearer picture and  won’t easily be misled.

If you seek good information about crypto, there are sites, pages etc dedicated to only legit or solid informations not paid advertise. One of the websites that is good for crypto information is bitcointalk or Altcointalk, and Reddit etc but perhaps why some rely on X for information this days if because it has become a media with legit or strong informations (news) especially about crypto or politics but one thing is certain where there is good information there also is bad information.

what matters the most now is your personal research, you can get hints from anywhere and make final researches that matches your desire.

Additionally for influencers we basically know sponsored contents and legit post so if you come across any of them and have you different them.

More than half the number of influencers online have their own interest at heart, and not the interest of the people who are following them. Majority of them have started their channel or whatever with an intention to make money of course and not because they want to serve humanity for free. This is essentially a reason to be careful with the information you accept from them because not all are correct or free from an intention that they may have. Even the most trusted social handles for news and information can be wrong, hence the importance for always cross verifying information with different sources to find a correlation. No one has the monopoly of the news, if one source has it, another should have it and be able to act as a means to verify the other.

This is a good warning because lately I have seen some self-acclaimed Bitcoin millionaires that keeps creating one shitcoin after another and continue to milk gullible people dry. I may have lost count of how many shitcoins they have created but I remember more than four of them which they will allocate a large portion to themselves, hype them on social media and dump on the people before moving on to the next project. Now they are also riding on the trend of AI trading bots and I have seen many people already paying for that services. I don't know when people will be wise.

Rather, they want to hype the coin so people will put in money, whether it’s legit or not. But the thing is that in everything you do, just be knowledgeable and know where you are about to put your money into. Newbies fall victim all the time; they follow their emotion and hype to invest in shitcoins that will later be a scam.

Mate. That is why knowledge is very important. No one can convince you in this space. As long as you are knowledgeable, nothing someone will come and tell you will make you invest in a scam project. People who are influential are getting paid to even post something on their page because they already have the audience, so don’t allow anyone to use you. Get knowledge and do it on your own.

The thing is that most of those influencers are shillers they are just shilling the project inorder to get some commission or rather some pay from the project they are not just doing it to pump their bag but to bring awareness to the project and get paid while doing so , such is not bad but the idea of not showing concern whether the coin worth the hype . So that they followers or community won’t fall as victim investing in bad project just in the name of you trying to make some earnings or profits .

If you want to hype a project make sure it worth it and is a good project you are sure of not because you where given a particular amount of money for you to bring awareness. Especially in the airdrop space most influencers are being paid to promote useless projects.

Let's try to know who influences are, because most of them are not doing this for their own personal interest but because they're paid to do so, making promotion online is profitable to an extent when you get a job or an organization hired you to promote what they do for them, we also have to know that not everything we see online we should trust.

You say be aware of self interest influencers, I say be wary of anyone who calls themselves an "influencer" cause like you noted, a lot of these influencers seem to invested more into influencing people to whatever project or service that is willing to pay.

Getting your crypto information from several influencers is plain suicidal especially when you're dealing with alt coins. An influencer would sell you the "amazing prospects" of a shit coin the same way a politician would say just about anything to get your vote. Both are best taken with a pinch of salt.

DO your own research (DYO), that strategy works like magic and it helps you ti know and discover the indebt of the coins and if their are potentially good coins or not, what you should know is that evwry body is after their pockets and as a mater of fact we seen alot of them influencers not even holding a sigle of those coins but are just chilling for the project just to get paid foe that service.

X is pay per post, so people over there will definitely make alot of noise just to increase thwir months earnings from the projectand x platform itself.

Informations on this forum is more reliable to me than what I see outside of here about cryptocurrency. When a token is getting hyped by influencers, it is already showing some kind of red flag vibes which necessitates I do my duly research more about it before having anything to do with them. Influencers may look all trustworthy, but when he’s been paid to promote a project which is not worth it, they’ll do everything they can to make it look real and trustworthy to invest in. Money can change anyone, so we need to be careful who’s content on X and YouTube we follow before coming to a conclusion about a project they’re shilling.

This is true, some influencer are only interested in the offer they're going to get they don't care what happened next. This is why we need to be extremely careful, though I'm not against those influencer but we shouldn't jump into conclusion after we most have seen them advertising a particular product just because they happens to be one of our favorite. In the world of finance, the number one thing to always note is that people are generally selfish and more focused on how to gain from you  before they put you into consideration that is if they will even consider you at all. even when they are reaching out to you, you are never a priority,  and for that reason, it is best not just make financial conclusion just from one source. influencers are more centered on selling out an idea and gaining from it than giving you real update that will make you more financially stable.

some of those crypto influencers on X and YouTube are just after gaining views and that is all. they exaggerate things just to keep viewers active and whatever it is you encounter when you eventually take the action of investing in the asset becomes less or none of their business. apart from the forum where information gets censored and the bad ones gets taken away while the good ones are allowed to stay, most of the media outlet has more of false information that legit ones.
