The system of Nigeria education is getting worse daily, the pattern of classes, the lecturers schemes, students sluggishness to reading and attending classes, the value of certificates, lecturers students sex relationships and sorting courses, poor infrastructure and less concerned stigma from government, increase in tuitions fees and documents. Honestly everything is quite annoying about going to school that's why most people prefer handwork or skills than wasted years in school. But all this system wasn't like today in 1980s according to our parental history.

The internet contributed a little bit to the sluggishness to their studies and we all have been that most school dropout content creators are living large than devoted students, and another factor that contributed to the almost failed Nigerian education is our nonchalant leaders that cares only about themselves and family and as long as they are getting rich from our hard earned money, they are not bothered about the citizens anymore because their own children are schooling abroad and they failed to fix our education system.

Most of the information you are giving about the education system in Nigeria is not correct. Yes, there are some regional educational institutions where teachers are observed to be absent and inattentive, so the authorities take appropriate action against them. Due to the somewhat deteriorating economic situation in the country, teachers are focusing more on personal teaching instead of teaching in institutions because they need more money. The problem cannot be solved by blaming institutions and teachers alone. The education system that existed in the 1980s was limited to books, but due to the spread of technology, it should have been adjusted to keep pace with the structural changes in education, but in most cases our government has not been able to implement it, so the difference between the old education system and the modern education system is having a more negative impact on us.

The educational sector in this country is a mess, I'm in my early 30s and the government primary I attended is still in deplicated state till date, nothing has changed, yet pupils are still learning under bad  condition.

The value of education in Nigeria is still the same zero innovation and low productivity. The Nigerian education system only produces graduates  for job, that's the worst educational system. When the school can't produce graduates that  can invent and produce something then it's not education.  As of today Nigeria is not producing any product to the world , we are a consumption nation because of our poor educational system. Until we fix the educational system never expect change in Nigeria.

The Nigerian education system as of today are worst than as it used to be, the system is now producing unemployable graduates. The Genz graduates are the worst set, the have the Internet advantage but can't embrace it.  They have no character and zero capacity to transform the society.  The Nigerian government should declare state of emergency on the educational system.

The education system in Nigeria has failed people no longer take education serious students found either in higher institution or in secondary sector no longer find education interesting let me talk about the secondary sectors cause that's the foundation and if the foundation is not properly handled it makes everything worse let take for instance private schools do better then government school cause of the systems private schools operate but when we come to government schools everyone do as they like you find school children outside during schools hours playing outside and children under that environment will not be able to read very well how will they find education interesting those set of persons might see school as a waste of time but before it wasn't this bad government should help matters parents should also try their best

It's very pathetic the kind of education we have in Nigeria, our system is very corrupt and manipulative people see school as scams because you will see a graduate roaming the streets for years without having a job after graduation,on the other hand you see someone that got engaged in one skill or the other without going to school doing well, because the skill he learnt is fetching him money unlike the graduate roaming the streets without a Job and even getting a suitable job at times in Nigeria is by connection, without this connection is quite difficult securing a job.

Education in the days of old it wasn't so because once you graduate from school you will surely see job even without connection nor any rich uncle ,the pattern in which the government increases the tuition fees is scary and this forces some undergraduates to dropout of schol because they are unable to afford the tuition fees,to be learning a skill before going to school is better, with that skill you can train yourself in school without finding it difficult to pay tuition fees.

The Nigeria educational system needs to be put on check, normally in other countries they invest in their educational system providing its students the necessary requirements and infrastructure need for success of the program, but here in Nigeria the environment alone serves as discouragement to students. Imagine going to school to study computer engineering for four years with no practical experience, lectures coming to class instead of teaching they began to give life stories, students going to classes wherever they pleases why because they know they can sort the courses, most students graduate with first class degrees without even attending a single class while those who attend classes comes out with second class or even pass. It’s funny how Nigeria education system is down grading and losing its worthy, you see graduates who can’t even defend their degrees cause they didn’t go through legal process it’s either sorting or knowing someone with higher power. Most students just go to school because they believe they need to have certificate while some even buy certificate, the system has been turned upside down, the Nigeria education system should bring back the days where lecturers undergo proper exams before being employed, bring back strict discipline on class attendance, provide students with necessary infrastructure and resources needed to achieve the success of their program and create employment opportunities to motivate students.

It's true that our educational system today is getting worse and we can all agree that education in the days of our parent is way better than what we have right now. The most annoying thing about our education right now is that they refuse to improve the syllabus to fit the current system right now.
Education right now is very bad that we don't even have qualified graduates anymore, because lazy students that have money will pay their way through school and they will come out with good certificate that they can't even defend. This is the reasons why we have unqualified graduates everywhere in the society. This is a guy that I know during my university days that can't even spell something as simple as come, boy, woman etc, but he is a graduate right now. The most annoying thing about this guy is that his WAEC, JAMB and post UTME is way better than mine, so I begin to ask myself how he got such a wonderful results,  but I finally came to conclude that he payed for all the results. This is to tell you how bad the educational system has fallen.
