I believe Royse , as the escrow, will make decisions over the dispute.

But this is a public forum and anyone can open a topic about the situation.


There are so many exit scam around... A third-party escrow is always welcome. This gives an extra layer of security until ~5kUSD. This is pretty good imo.

I also believe that Royse will make decisions on this, but if the case becomes too controversial for him to handle, he could simply open a thread in the reputation board.
I understand why you are asking because it's possible for random newbies who know there's an escrow to start laying unnecessary claims.

I believe this is the new standard for avoiding or reducing the chances of a crypto swap service engaging in exit scams.

When I see a service that provides momentary custody (like an instant exchange) by making a third-party escrow with a highly reputable forum member or using a trustworthy campaign manager, it already improves my credibility with the service, making it a great first impression.

Good move IMO, it's better than nothing. So many platforms don't even bother to make any security deposit, and yet users risk using them anyway.
I think what Lizex.io is trying to do is to assure potential users that they don't have any ill intentions, so far.

As a potential customer, i think it would be advisable to exchange small amounts for a start.

Thank you Royse, for an initiative which getting us an "escrowed business".

So, from my understanding, I guess I need to follow the following steps for trading in lizex:

1. Before initiating a trade, I need to check for any open scam accusation against them and also by checking their trust history.

2. I need to trade for the total value which must be lesser than $5k, for safer side, I guess 10% of it or lesser than that would be better.

3. I need to take screenshot of deposit address for precautionary so that on a dispute I can prove that I transact with lizex's wallet.

Please guide me if I misunderstand anything here.

That’s the best thing to do to be on the safer side, and even as that, for an exchange, I considered $5k escrow very small, as one person’s single transaction can exceed that limit. What happens if such an amount gets stuck?

No TRX USDT address was posted for such verification; I believe what the users verified was the signature, not the transaction, to show if the USDT was actually sent. Even as good as this initiative is, there is still a gray area that cannot be addressed. I'm sure there are many forum users who wouldn't mind transacting with Lizex at the moment, being aware that about $5,000 in 'insurance' covers the business. Nevertheless, do not lose sight of the fact that there are many other potential users who may exchange amounts for more than what Royce has custody of. So in a sense, this supposed insurance covers ONLY members of the forum who are aware that it exists.

Let's not forget that these could be non-members who may be motivated by the surge of support or patronage from forum members without knowing it's incentivized by an insurance. There non-members may end up exchanging for far more than $5,000. I'm not suggesting that Lizex could be an exit scam. I'm just saying that social signals could mislead people who may not be aware of the cautious approach others who are more informed took.

I agree with you that $5K is a small amount considering how bigger may would be the amount in some disputes or when there are a lot of simultaneous disputes with small amounts. At least they should escrow an amount equivalent to the value of maximum withdrawable amount in the website

It's a great idea to escrow a budget as a garantee, but considering it's a small amount, users should keep dealing with caution when using big sums.

I don't see why not to post in this section. The other part is a business not a forum user to post in the Reputation board.
This will serve as a reference for the active service which is a garantee escrowed funds for undetermined period.

Maybe better Royce create a dedicated topic for his escrow services, where he can post all his active escrows instead of creating a thread for each one.

Btw format of USDT is incomplete ( commas and decimal missing somewhere), when it comes to money assumptions can't be made.

How did you verify the USDT amount?

Was wondering the same, but am guessing tx id wasn't shared to avoid tagging/tainting the address/funds should anything happen like the Sin situation.

The proper way to handle this, would be by providing a signed Letter of Guarantee before any exchange takes place. Like this escrow case. Without LoG, it't not possible to prove foul play.

Why open a dedicated thread for disputes in advance? This is an escrow only as a guarantee up to a certain amount.
I assume that it is expected that there will be no disputes (there were none until now), but if there are, it is easy to open a discussion.
