We know say for this our country, we no really care if our environment dey clean or not, I don waka most places just dey too dirty to live and if person talk or tell them, they go reply person say dirty no dey kill African Man, which I think say na lie, dirty dey do plenty things for our body wey no good.
Which e go good if we put hands together to ensure cleanliness by reducing or recycling waste products, that is to keep am properly and not to dey littering am everywhere. Although people wey dey work to ensure say our environment dey clean dey but make we also put hands to also help them, because if everywhere clean and dey conducive for everyone to stay, na for the good of everybody too.

Individual reorientation is very important to enhance public sensitisation about the benefits of having a clean environment. The societies need just one good thinking person to make the change. In Nigeria, some states are known for their high level of dirty environments. Somewhere like Abia state turned clean overnight due to the coming of of their current Governor. Sometimes we need one good person to enforce this policy.

Everyone could do better by always being conscious of not dumping refuse inappropriately. If you take responsibilities for your environment and I take responsibility for my own environment, before you know it, everywhere will be clean and the rate of disease spread would reduce.

It's really important for us to try to make our environment clean, because it's really good for our health. It's correct that most people really don't care about in this part of the world, but that does not make it right.
We also have to realize that this is not just the duty of the government for us to have a clean environment,  but also the duties of the citizens to try and keep their environment clean. Cleanliness is not the responsibility of the government to see into even though they have agencies that helps to ensure that the environment is clean to a reasonable extent. when you look at the carelessness with which we take matter of hygiene and the cleanliness of our environment, it just shows why our life expectancy rate is reducing by the day because we by ourselves are responsible for the diseases that is disturbing us.

our environment and ecosystem in general has faced serious negligence that has negative effect not just on us but also to the generation that is coming after. when you see news of erosion, it is so because most of the drainages are not working and the question is, who is responsible for the blockage of those drainages? it is still same us that will complain that the government is not doing enough. as much as the government might not be doing as expected, the issue of poor attitude towards taking care of our environment is first a failure on the part of the citizens that live in that environment before we can even fault any government.

We're supposed to be practicing sanitation regularly and make it a common practice in our environment to keep the streets, gutter clean and after we have made this our duty, others will have no choice but to follow us in keeping the environment clean.

Our dirty environments is only affecting us and not others. For that reason, it's our responsibility to not throw away waterproofs or any waste on the streets and gutters. As you see someone doing this, correct them that instant and it'll send a strong message both to the users and other bystanders. The environment is ours to maintain and we shouldn't expect the authorities to do that for us.

You are very right, if we can be able to practice this, our country will be a better place for us to reside or dwell in without always looking for other comfort else where such as traveling to outside country like USA etc.

Cleanliness is it responsibility of the government,  that is why they are environmental laws within cities and provinances to make sure that the environment is clean, hence an individual cannot clean his environment the government comes in, clean the environment and fines that individual with existing laws and that defaulting individual will have to pay. The citizens have the responsibility of bagging and packing their dirt's to keep at a certain location, it is the government responsibility to dispose it, as it's part of the tax the citizens pay.

This is a very interesting topic OP. We can promote sustainable living in our communites when all hands are on deck. If we are to make the community worth living and enjoyable, then we must be ready to work in order to make the community a better place, and this work includes everybody, man and woman, children and adults, everybody must be involved in the working process and building of the communities.
This also means that the community leaders must not indulge in acts that would diviide the community and cause crisis in the community like taking of bribe from one party. Everybody must be sane and be ready to be law abiding so as to improve the community standard.
