These are the list of exchanges that are available to Nigerians and offer Naira p2p services or have Bech 32 segwit address deposit when depositing bitcoin.

Note that not all exchanges available for Naira p2p has Bech 32 segwit address deposit and not all that has Bech 32 segwit address deposit are also having the services to convert from any currency to Naira in their p2p section.

The need to know the exchange for bitcoin (Bech 32 segwit address) deposit is for its demand by campaign managers to use for receiving payment due to low transaction fees, scalability and reduction in effective size of transaction. Knowing the exchanges that you can easily send your money to for the best p2p service is also important to avoid scam when sent to an exchange that’s not reputable for p2p services.

Binance is one of the reputable exchange used worldwide, and in Nigeria and when it comes to rating, they always take the top spot amongst other exchanges for its reliability.
Has Bech 32 Segwit Address: YES
Offers Naira P2P services: NO
Note: Binance where having issues with the Nigerian government and where even sanctioned large amount of money at a time before the charges were later dropped. Other cite the reasons for the ban due to the platform being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, and exchange rate manipulations. The Nigerian government moved to crackdown the exchange for control under a regulation framework.

Bitget
Has Bech32 Segwit Address: NO
Offers Naira p2p services: YES
Note: This exchange has been widely used for p2p exchange and for its reputation, it is an exchange you can seamlessly trade your Naira to any cryptocurrency on. I have only used the services ones and it was a nice experience.

Bybit
Has Bech32 Segwit Address: NO
Offers Naira p2p services: YES
Note: This is one of the top exchange in Nigeria today that is used for Naira p2p services. Although a lot of report have been coming recently about their p2p merchants scamming people. The exchange now have a bot integrated in that section that you can chat with to help reduce risk of exposure to such merchants. This will help reduce fraudulent act but you should always check to confirm the right amount has been sent before releasing coins. An 100% rating or the chatbot options for merchants doesn’t mean they can’t scam, it just reduces the chances of scamming.

KuCoin
Has Bech32 Segwit Address: YES
Offers Naira P2P services: NO
Note: KuCoin temporarily suspended the services but gave reasons to why they had to suspend. The reason is to work in accordance to local tax regulations which was the issue at hand that time. Their ban on Naira p2p services came after Binance announced their suspension of Naira p2p service few months after.

Gate.io
Has Bech32 Segwit Address: NO
Offers Naira P2P services: YES
Note: They never publicly stated that they offer p2p services but they’ve been allowing deposit option using Naira for conveniency since March 2025. I haven’t used their p2p services before even if it’s available, so I can’t vouch for it. Do your own research before using them.

MEXC
Has Bech32 Segwit Address: NO
Offers Naira P2P services: YES
Note: They only included the Naira p2p option in April 2025. This was launched in order to increase the high growth of cryptocurrencies for local access. Since I haven’t used their p2p service even though they’ve publicly announced the services, it’s better to apply caution when dealing with merchants there also, scammers are everywhere and one should be able to tell when there’s a red flag to avoid such scammers.

Remitano
Has Bech32 Segwit Address: NO
Offers Naira p2p services:YES
Note: This is one of the top exchanges many Nigerians came to know about and use it frequently to buy crypto assets using Naira. They provide efficient p2p services and has been home for many Nigerian crypto users. Again, scan out to know the best merchant to trade with in order not to fall victims of scams, underpayment while using their p2p services.

Below is a table for better representation:
S/N|Exchange|Has Bech 32 Segwit Address Deposit|Offers Naira p2p Services|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|
1|Binance |YES|NO|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|
2|Bitget|NO|YES|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|
3|Bybit|NO|YES|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|
4|KuCoin|YES|NO|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|
5|Gate.io|NO|YES|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|
6|MEXC|NO|YES|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|
7|Remitano|NO|YES|
_________________|_________________|_________________|_________________|

There are more exchanges to this, but these are the ones mostly used by Nigerians that offers p2p services in Naira or available for Bitcoin (Bech32 Segwit) deposit. I may update it with more findings on other exchanges. Also, research more about any exchange you wish to use before using any of their services.

DISCLAIMER: All these are exchanges and do not provide 100% security to your funds when you’re using them to save your coin. It is best used for buying and selling, or use for trading if you’re a trader. They are not the best options to save your money in. Only keep an amount you use for trading or want to exchange for via peer to peer in them. Non-custodial wallets are best for savings, always prioritize them over exchange for saving your funds in.

Your list of CEX with p2p and Bech 32 segwit address is okay but I think you shouldn't have included binance since they have delisted Naira p2p on their platform but that notwithstanding, I like the disclaimer that you attached to your post because no matter how reliable and reputable a CEX may be, it can still be prone to hacks and manipulation, apart from performing p2p transactions, these CEXs is not really important since they don't offer full security of your assets. Anyways, it will help people in the local board especially newbies to know the CEX platform they can use to perform p2p transactions since there are many CEX that are fake at least I haven't heard any complaints from anyone about these CEXs you have listed.
For someone who is holding Bitcoins for long term, these CEXs should not be used to store your coins. You can use a self-custody wallet like electrum since it is safer to store your coins and also has a Bech 32 segwit address.

I don't know why those other Exchanges like Bybit and Bitget don't want to update their bitcoin address to Segwit Address. Treat exchanges like a market place.

Have not even heard about the Yellow card exchange which you mentioned before. Is the exchange a reputable one? and how do they operate? because I don’t really think it’s going to be a exchange like Binance, KuCoin and other reputable exchanges which we know.

KuCoin and Binance stopped their P2P operations in Nigeria when they started having problems with the Nigerian government. I think it was Binance that stopped there operation first, then follow by KuCoin, but we still have some popular exchanges that support P2P in Nigeria. The OP made a useful posts, at least we already know the exchanges that support P2P operations in Nigeria, we don’t have to be asking people, or start doing research to know the exchange which we can use to convert other currencies to Naira.

It's actually the first time I'm hearing about this exchange, and I had to take a quick search on it, and kinda looked at their resumẹ́ and it was pretty impressive but looking at their trust pilot rating really made me feel sceptical about the exchange. Lots of complaints from their users. Most of them complaining about delayed and uncredited deposits and withdrawals l, and when they complain to customer care, they're not attended to. I mean that's just too much and speaks very bad about the exchange and honestly, I don't wanna try it out.

I was about to write that Binance doesn’t have the any Naira P2P when I saw that you had included them but after reading your note on them you are aware that they had ban Naira p2p. Since your topic on Exchange with Naira P2P you should have not included Binance and the replies are on the same issue that Binance has been banned. But thank you for posting because I am searching on some other options aside Bybit.

From the best of my knowledge, Yellow Card do not offer P2P marketplace, you're either selling your coins to the company or you're buying from the company at their set rates. There are no vendor ads.

It should be known that most exchanges existed before Segwit addresses were introduced in 2017, changing from legacy or adding Segwit would require a lot from development phase to testing phase, making sure everything is in perfect condition. This is why most older exchanges do not have Segwit addresses.

Is it worth the capital and stress to implement? No

No
When I searched online, I found out that Bybit, Bitget and Mexc were created in 2018. There are many exchanges that are not listed in the topic that were created after 2018 which are using the old address.

OP thank you for this update. I have only used Remitano and Bybit and my experience have not been bad. But there were two exchanges that were approved by the Nigerian government Quidax and Busha. I tried to check if Quidax has Bech 32 SegWit address for deposit but didn't get much information. But it seems Busha uses the SegWit address for deposit. Since these exchanges no dey popular, no need to add am for the OP. I know even advice anybody to use these two exchanges because they don't look serous.

Founded in 2017 but didn't get the adoption until few years ago. Everyone wanted a stable and more adopted system so most systems were built on legacy addresses, some only added Segwit addresses recently due to it high adoption rate.

Your list of CEX with p2p and Bech 32 segwit address is okay but I think you shouldn't have included binance since they have delisted Naira p2p on their platform

The topic is focused on exchanges that offers Naira p2p services and also has Bech32 Segwit address deposit option. Binance don’t offer Naira p2p services but has Bech32 Segwit address deposit, that’s why it is included.

OP, you should add Yellow Card Exchange to your list because that's the only exchange currently that their p2p trade in Naira is effective.

Yellow Card Exchange is not an exchange I have used before and when searching for reputable exchanges that Nigerians use, it doesn’t appear to be amongst them. Not many of us know about it and since I don’t have hands-on experience on it, i did not include it.

The ones that you wrote in the list Binance and Kucoin no longer have Naira p2p.

Binance and KuCoin don’t offer Naira p2p services but allows deposit using Bech32 Segwit address and that’s why they are amongst the exchange listed on the topic.

Since these exchanges no dey popular, no need to add am for the OP. I know even advice anybody to use these two exchanges because they don't look serous.

I haven’t really heard about them to be an exchange approved by the Nigerian government but the name Quidax sounds familiar, I might have come across the name somewhere but never knew it’s an an approved exchange here in Nigeria. Thanks for the little research about them, if they’re not worthy of being added to the list, it is for the good of the people that want to try it out for the first time to avoid them.

When I searched online, I found out that Bybit, Bitget and Mexc were created in 2018. There are many exchanges that are not listed in the topic that were created after 2018 which are using the old address.

I believe the major focus on this topic is more on the p2p because that is the end result of all Crypto transactions and besides wallet address is not that much of a thing to worry about when it comes to third parties as they have their own way to always make sure that they are up to standard and meets the expectations of their community or end users. As for the list on OP, maybe he would keep it updated on a continuous basis.
