Blockchain as a new science itself - Bitcoin as the first DeSci

I would like to open this discussion: could blockchain be the main target of scientific research from the most diverse philosophies, what we know as web3? Has time shown that the various approaches, consensus proposals, and network scalability, not to mention interoperability and, more recently, decentralized infrastructure, harmoniously compose pieces of the same puzzle, like a mandala of a comprehensive vision of what blockchain is?
