[WARNING] wallet-rewind.com - Crypto recovery scam

What happened: lowenm is trying to advertise a scam like "wallet" claiming it can roll back and restore your wallet within 60 minutes from the time it was compromised

The so-called wallet requires one to connect their wallet to it, which is likely a phishing/scam attempt.

This is indeed a ridiculous scam.

No one can restore wallets after they have been compromised or funds have been stolen.

They even claim another absurd feature: the ability to roll back a transaction and recover assets within one hour, which is impossible. This site is clearly a phishing scam. I have supported the flag and reported the scammer’s post and also submitted an abuse report to the domain registrar, namesilo.com.

The phishing site I reported has already been taken down, and I received this message in my email from the domain registrar NameSilo:

Hello,
The domain has been deactivated.
Kind Regards,
NameSilo Abuse

The report only took 5 minutes, so no member should hesitate to file a report with the domain registrar.. Such actions are highly appreciated and will protect many people from falling victim to scams.

You can identify the registrar of a domain through Who.is, then go to the registrar’s abuse page and fill out the form or send the report via their dedicated abuse email.

Thanks for the effort, albon. One less phishing domain for lowenm to use. I am quite impressed by who quick NameSilo act, unlike Namecheap and group. They really take a bit long when it comes to taking down domains containing malicious websites.

Next time as soon as I see NameSilo, I will be encouraged to make a report as soon as possible.

Thanks for the action you took, and i must also say that the domain registrar acted upon the report quickly. That's encouraging and going forward i will be reporting phishing domains whenever i see them. Crypto recovery scams are very dangerous, particularly for newbies; i can imagine a newbie losing their crypto and then they find a platform that promises to get it back for them, and since many of them are only used to centralized/traditional money, they easily fall for it and get scammed a second time.
