Honestly how quickly I forget about a loss depends on how invested I was in the outcome, which is probably the case for the majority of people. There's some losses in life I'll think about every now and then in a "life would have been quite different" way but they never dominate my thoughts so I think I'm doing quite alright.

It is when you want to hold on to them that you will end up losing more, because the mindset of recovering the money is what will be on your mind. Because losing money is annoying, so the best thing is to spend what you can afford to lose so that even when you don't win, you won't have things to worry about because people need to know that if they don't win today, then they will win another day, and this is one of the best decisions that can help them better because who would have expected to ponder about losing money? So just bet what is affordable to lose. And when you look or talk about it too much and you don't gamble with a specific prize, you will just end up betting and losing instead of having your wins be more than your losses.

Good point, as there are gamblers who have that same mentality, instead of taking a pause and re-assess what they did wrong they continue to push forward, and most of the time they ended up losing more as they think that for trying to add deposit to their wallet they will have that luck and recover their losses, that's the reason why practice and discipline needs to work together with a common aim, minimizing losses and not to let emotions to dominate inside.

Yes, emotions always present such a problem. If you let them take control of you, they will dictate terms that in most cases lead to disastrous results. Therefore, a player needs to learn to control them, and not only their negative manifestations, but also positive ones, because excessive enthusiasm can also play a cruel trick during the game.
When it comes to gambling or other decisions, you cannot rely on your emotions, but you have to make a decision based on your skills and strategies. Gambling is generally considered the riskiest game, so if any decision is made without sufficient knowledge or without applying your skills, then that decision will be wrong, which will result in the gambler losing a lot of money. What I mean is that everyone can gamble, but not everyone knows when to stop. So first, you have to make a habit of taking a break in between gambling and also consider yourself a responsible person. When a gambler considers himself a responsible person and when he can stop in the middle of gambling, his control over gambling will come automatically.

Basically the first loss is the worst to forget. Later on as you keep doing it for years. You treat it as a business and just move on.

However what matters is the size of losses. You can easily forget a small loss. But if you blew your entire account up, even after years of experience it can still sting. I still remember my 1 BTC loss on a single roll back in dice sometime back in 2015 or so. BTC back then was like $200 so it wasnt that much money but looking at how Bitcoin appreciated over the years, it sounds like a stupid way of losing so much potential money.

The most important thing to remember is to have the right mindset that you will incur losses from time to time. If you cant handle them, they you shouldnt be gambling in the first place.

There's some losses in life I'll think about every now and then in a "life would have been quite different" way but they never dominate my thoughts so I think I'm doing quite alright.
If someone experiences a loss while gambling, they will quickly forget it, provided they don't mind the amount of money they have wagered. However, for a gambler who doesn't easily forget, it is usually because they are concerned about the money, and this really boils down to the importance of managing risk.

Personally, I don't worry too much about finances when I lose, because I usually have my own rules for limiting the amount I can afford to gamble, so I quickly forget about it. Furthermore, managing time is also important in gambling, so it won't become a mental burden when experiencing a loss. If someone experiences a loss during a time when it is not actually a leisure time, it is likely to weigh on their mind and make it difficult to forget the moment. So, the bottom line is that we, as gamblers or bettors, should be able to manage risk, time, and finances to get through the days safely and comfortably, especially if we gamble again.
