I am not going to disclose the amount but i have been pretty lucky in the past. But i don't think that's a reason to chase them, as that seems to be job for a bots now, and probably no matter how you "mine" them, it's going to cost more in fees.

Past airdrops were much different and it happened to be so that people weren't expecting to make a lot of money on it. They participated because it was something cool and they wanted to do more things. Because a lot of money was made in the past this attracted all sorts of bad people who now organize to farm airdrops, and have ruined it for everyone. These days almost all airdrops suck hard.

There was a time when there was a lot of money to be made from airdrops, but with the changing times, the possibility of getting reward from airdrops has also disappeared. Now those who participate in airdrops, I think, are just wasting their time. Most of the Airdrops are scams with hunters. They promise big rewards but in the end the project is either scamming or they distribute very small rewards. I do not trust airdrops. I will never encourage anyone to go ahead with it because there is a high chance of scammers defrauding through airdrops.

And crypto generally is a trend, so when people were seriously into mining, some people took it for granted, so the best thing is to do try and error, and something might just have worked, and some people have made a lot of money from airdrops, and we know that when it comes to airdrops, not all projects will succeed, so it is better to just do them and expect nothing. because it is only when you expect that it's a 50/50 situation, so there is more reason why you do it without expectation,, and you are right about a lot os shit going on when it comes to airdrop. A lot of people are losing money, so there is a much different difference in when you know and not falling for their tricks.

Hahahaha that's so funny but you are actually saying the truth but on the second thought every airdrop participation is on the voluntary consentment, which everyone is always aware of that the reward is not certain and at such what is giving at the end of the day shouldn't really affect us that much, I have participated in so many airdrops the only one I was rewarded even though the reward was below expectations was that of the hamster, I kept telling people to lower their expectations whenever it comes to do with airdrops because nothing is guaranteed.

Having the understanding that airdrop are not ways and means to make money, but just a way to test and support those new projects, but airdrop hunters took that to a whole different level when their began to chase Airdrop and complaining how worthless their have become in recent time, why should anyone think that somewhat significantly good can come from a free will offer like Airdrop, so only those that have time to waste in testing their platforms.

Honestly, i was lucky to experience the benefits of airdrops, unlike now where it is very difficult to earn money from airdrops due to too much competition and the meta changing to yapping on Twitter or the emergence of Binance Alpha.

In the previous cycle, airdrops were still something worthwhile and promising to pursue. Many developers still valued the community by offering decent rewards, such as projects like (Aptos and Arkham). while (Arbitrum and Optimism) were retroactive, meaning they required capital. These were also two projects that provided me with significant capital for investment. Developers didn't make it difficult to qualify our wallets, and the rewards given were also very large. These were some of the best moments in my life while involved in the world of airdrops.   

Currently and in the future, competition in the world of airdrops may become even more difficult, as more and more people become aware of and enter this field, which means that the potential for receiving large rewards will decrease. However, it should be noted that every year there are always good developers who give large rewards to the community. The key is to remain consistent in doing so.

Back then the main aim for airdrop was to raise awareness, right now the main reason airdrop exist so that the developers can sell their allocation through OTC and get quick bucks.
Airdrop was rigged for a reason, it's to raise awareness with smallest cost as possible and to bootstrap liquidity.

This is completely unfair to those who worked on the airdrop.

Does the presence of Binance Alpha make a project successful? More declines mean it's completely ineffective, but developers always choose Binance Alpha in the end.

This is what makes the current Airdrop really difficult and not worth the profit if you don't work hard.

In my judgement, all airdrops now sucks hard. I like the way you put it because it is the reality about airdrops now. I was opportune to mine some early projects and made some few bucks with them without having to perform any serious tasks. Today, the airdrops will almost milk the hell out of you and get you will get nothing tangible from it which is worth the time and resources consumed on them. At some point, airdrops became serious scams because airdrop companies did requested for money from people to buy their packages and end up leaving those people with nothing to benefit from the projects.

I think it's just the genuineness which is not there else companies don't ordinarily experience users to just jump into their projects without having some sort of incentives for them. Even personal brands do offer giveaway for testing and promotions like this. But what I've noticed is, these airdrop developers discovered the hunger with people then decided to use their projects to take money from innocent people out there looking for little funds to cater for their lives needs

How much lucky have you got with crypto airdrops ?

For airdrops I was less fortunate, unlike most of my friends. Usually I only get 5 - 8 times less than what my friends have.

The last airdrop I participated in was for Catizen (CATI) & I only earned about $25 after two months of playing their game. OFC, it wasn't worth it. The $25 I spent was worth what I normally get in just three days on this forum.

But for a similar program in crypto, I once got lucky, it was around $5000 in just 10 days, LOL.

In these, a large amount of tokens are distributed and when that coin is listed on an exchange, all the hunters start dumping them on the market. And due to the excessive selling pressure and listing on small exchanges, the liquidity is very low and that coin goes down in the market. And the team does not have the capacity to back up that coin. And all in all, that coin crashes very quickly.

I would go as far as i would separate them completely. As labeling both pre-announced giveaways as airdrops, and and actual surprise airdrops under same umbrella is misleading, as have very little to do with each other.

But it's the same thing with all trends. When one kind of think is making people rich, people try to copy the concept and hope they will fool people with it, by implying it's some kind of way to riches.

If you still participating in all those airdrops, you might just be receiving dust now, most of the airdrops now don’t really worth it because some are going to pay, and some will end up paying just little amount of money which you might not be able to withdraw sometimes. Seriously the era of airdrops has passed, when people were making good amounts of money from airdrop has passed, but maybe later in the future, we going to be experiencing something like that again, but for now airdrops are just complete waste of time.

Liqudities may be seen as the basis for those coins dropping down in price, but after that we have other factors that comes up from the activities of the bounty hunters, the mistake was from the project owners, they never have well organized plans for their projects airdrop and bounty marketing distribution, rather let everything our to the hands of the bounty hunters who's interest is never on the project but how to cash out the rewards, most people made massive money from those bounties those days when bounty trends was high along with the ICO eras.

The biggest I got was a bit over a grand from uniswap, but that's it, nothing more than 50 bucks after that. So it is clear that none of the efforts I put into these ever make it worth it, so it was not something that I can be proud of at all. I understand it is not really a good way to make some money, but it is definitely something that can prevent me from doing it again.

I will not be joining any airdrops anytime soon, I haven't in over a year now as well. The last one I joined was Hamster Kombat or whatever that was last year, the telegram thing, I checked it out for a day or two, but decided it is not worth it. It's simple, when millions of people join, like literally it was reaching 100 million, then how much could they even make to pay us all?

The early participants that involved themselves in  airdrops and bounty made huge amounts of money from so many airdrops but what we are seeing these days is the opposite of what participants supposed to be getting from crypto airdrops.

Many projects that are launching Airdrops now are very greedy and they don't even want to reward their community in a way that everybody would benefit after so many tasks given to them to accomplish in the limited shortest time.
