Do you have any tips or tricks to get your metabolism going, losing weight, gaining muscle mass or boosting brain function?

I have two tips I can share:

For losing weight it could help if you water fast for 2 - 3 days. When you resume with normal meals you should cut out all carbohydrates, sugars and salts. You will lose your excess fat steadily, if you consume foods rich in potassium, protein and fat from hereon out!

For boosting brain function it helps to stay away from quick consumable media. Sometimes it helps to realise that our brains have been rewired for short attention spans due to social media posts, tis toks, instagram, YouTube shorts and the like. Our brain's neurological pathways have been physically altered and our brains have now got a much harder time focusing, concentrating and remembering. Instead of browsing content that has been served up by "the algorithm", I recommend to read some books instead. This will restore neural pathways in the brain! A really nice first book to read is "How the Internet Is Changing the Way We Think, Read and Remember" by Nicholas Carr.

These are my 2 Health Life Hack tips.

Interesting points. Below are mine opinion in brief:

• Taking a walk daily and engaging in strength training can help for metabolism and to control weight. Weight lifting helps the muscles stay intact, thereby raising you metabolism, while walking help check fat gain without getting burn out.

• Have a plan on adding on the weight you carry progressively, endeavor to eat more protein and don't neglect your sleep time as it is important too if you want to gain muscle.

• Engage in regular cardio workout like jogging or cycling it improves focus and memory and try as much as possible to write down journals or note taking by hand, it sharpens recall, these are for the brain functions.

Just eat organic/natural. It's easier for the body to metabolize organic foods and the fats it stores so that you don't gain too much weight regardless of "how much you eat", and you also burn the stored fat easily.
Your brain could be seen as a lamp or car engine, it needs good quality fuel to produce bright, gentle and consistently burning light.  As for the brain as car engine, you need to oil it too for similar result: frictionaless, more efficient and effective running engine.

Also remember to always balance the foods so that the body doesn't lack in most of the tools it needs to function properly

Well for me I do like to go on my daily walks after I have my dinner. And on the weekends when I have alot of time I will take my bicycle out with my nephews.

I do eat alot of fast food I wish I did not eat so much. I do try to eat more healthy and organic but it can be hard to find this kind of food where I live. And if they do sell it well it is usually alot more money.

That is an awesome sounding health life hack. I will try this one myself!

Nice thread.

A few that work for me (kept simple, repeatable):
Sleep first, same bedtime/wake time + 5-10 min morning daylight. Everything else gets easier.
Fat, Protein & plants, ~25-30 g protein each meal + aim ~30 g fiber/day (beans, veg, oats).
Do not to eat sugar at all. Exercise regularly.

Honestly these are the most important "life hacks" you can do that will have the most impact
