I have a 2FA, I do not want to mess with getting ahold of Tim, Long story short we just had our first kid and we have our hands full.

Offering it at .35 on the dollar. More than I paid for it and someone can still take the .47 cents from Tim and make money as well.

That seems like a lot of money to not want to mess with it.  Maybe someone trustworthy in the community that has done this before would be willing to assist you and take a cut for doing so?  I haven't ever touched a Titan Mint coin so I'm not the right guy, but I'm sure someone would be willing to help you for less than you are giving away here.  I can understand just wanting to wash your hands with the situation though to avoid any further stress, so good luck with your sale!  Sounds like it could be a good opportunity for someone.

@og so I spoke with the person offering that deal today and he had showed me the coins. I went ahead and sent them over to Tim to verify and this is just weird. You can’t tell if Tim’s just the biggest scammer in the world based on what he responded to me with he said the Quinn was redeemed in 2015 and then he said 2025 and he won’t even show the hash or anything. He says that due to privacy reasons for the original owner and he keeps pressuring to get law-enforcement involved and then he would give up the information shown that he didn’t just steal the money from everyone and then he doesn’t wanna not just pay back the other guy advertising. This already knows that Tim said it was redeemed so he’s knowingly selling something that Tim’s not gonna pay. Here’s a link of the conversation I had with Tim about the coin this gentleman’s offering because I was going to purchase it from him.

https://files.fm/u/vva3a4hxst

Again, I don’t know if this gentleman’s telling the truth and Tim is just the biggest scumbag in the world who deserves to be prosecuted or his ass whooped or if the gentleman just know only knows that it’s been redeemed

Also, can someone please clarify exactly what his excuse was because I’m looking at the first thread and he’s blaming issues with the website but apparently he’s claiming Mount gox was the reason now

I have redeemed a dozen or so coins (all for other members here) thru the offer Tim gave a while back - I would be willing to assist but that would require having the coin to be able to verify - it might be prudent for the first step for me to reach out to see if Tim will even honor the deal he had offered a year or so ago.

as for the reason - first his DB got corrupted - then he had claimed he put a lot of funds on mt. gox and lost it when they were hacked - and basically kept hoping the case would get resolved and he would get a payout before anyone was the wiser - he offered a lesser payout to those not wanting to wait for the settlement but he had limited funds and thus offered a lower percentage than 100% -- iirc it was in the mid to high 40's percentage wise.

he did pay me the funds for each coin - there is a KYC process and a legal form to sign etc I had to do that for each coin. I then distributed the funds to the actual coin owners.

I wanted to reply to Mrsats1987

I would have bet my left nut this was un-redeemed. I am looking into it some more, I had redeemed PK ones I bought as well without issue.

So my offer is off the table currently. I want that out there as well, so no one feels I’m trying to scam someone.

The biggest problem with the whole story IMO is that even after "Losing" btc on gox in 2014, he continued to perpetuate fraud . I mean what year  were the 2fa's made again? (I do plead ignorance on that), BUT he did sell MANY 2017 PK's that afaik were never swept/touched. What if he's still waiting 20 years and will rug those next, assuming he might even be lying about the whole db thing? (which he might not be speaking as a former db admin -it's not hard to lose your data if your stupid, it's just a known thing to always have a backup in most case lol).

Anyhow, I'm out, this thread is exhausting. I'll follow it again once Chib replies maybe... Roll Eyes

He’s a scamming piece of shit. Period. If he wasn’t he’d be here trying to help out. Obviously as the OP who started this all years ago and someone who’s well versed in finance scams/ physical crypto scams I have 100% zero doubt.

Did Gox not make payouts and settle all that shit ? If so, then he should be able to provide full refunds to everyone, right?

His website maintenance shit is just that bs. He’s been using it at an excuse for YEARS. I believe the first reported issue was back in lime 2014 or 16 , something like that. One person would show up and complain, he’d handle it quickly to suppress suspicion etc. this went on for years. He has also mentioned he stored the keys in a bank vault, as I uncovered through countless fn hours of reading threads (all over, Reddit   Btalk etc).

He pushed for 2FA over PKs in a manner that was beyond obvious that he planned this all along. He stated once tha “many Colin holders don’t understand PK coin redemption and would often peel the holo and toss it all (who the fuck had ever done. No one).

Do I need to continue ?

Ha ha.. Not to me, as you know my friend. Wink

Well said, and I believe it was always a scam myself, and maybe a future one if the pk's exist unpeeled as long as he's alive Roll Eyes

MtGox paid out the fiat equivalence of balances so he didn't get anywhere near the amount of bitcoin he owes.

true - another perfect example of why you don't use funding for coins (money that is not yours) to deposit anywhere in hopes of making gains. Which is what Tim admits to doing, the moment he transferred those funds from keys he held to the exchange - he was committing misappropriation of funds or fraud or whatever you want to call it.

I knew he would not get the BTC but instead USD equivalent and that is why I went for the 40 something (whatever percent it was) before he disappeared yet again.
