Some set of people are still thinking that Nigeria are not using Bitcoin the way other countries are doing, you won't sit in your house and start saying things you don't know about.
Bitcoin is been used by a lot of people and even churches and schools accept Bitcoin, this church and school I will list like this are accepting Bitcoin and from interview that was conducted with the pastor and head of school they confirm that people are transferring to there Bitcoin wallet.

See the church and school under, this na the ones I just dey very sure of, I know say others still dey oo.

Divine Grace of Glory Church (DGOGC) / MoreGrace TV has a Bitcoin wallet address for giving/donations.

A school in Kano State, New Oxford Science Academy, has adopted accepting Bitcoin for school fee payment.

This wan really shock me say e get school and church wey don Dey use bitcoin already cos I never Hear of am before but na very nice innovation actually, how I wish every other churches and school fit learn from them. Anyways, na good sign say Bitcoin is now taking over and it will come to a time wey so many people go adopt to using bitcoin for any payment at all. Because no be everybody get there money for naira, if you wan pay your children school fees u fit just easily pay with bitcoin as far say the school get bitcoin wallet and even if you Dey church, maybe you wan pay for donation, tithe or offering, you just from your bitcoin wallet pay.

Before few years to come, bitcoin no go be new thing again since the knowledge of bitcoin don Dey spread and so many people they into Bitcoin now.

I'm surprised that schools and churches now accept Bitcoin as a form of payment now in Nigeria  cause I've never heard of such actually.

It's a really good thing that the knowledge and use of Bitcoin is spreading like a wide fire now in Nigeria. With this it would give more people need to get to know more about Bitcoin and transact with the currency.

I really love this innovation and growth of Nigeria in this sector.

It is not something of surprise to see that some institutions or persons are accepting bitcoin in Nigeria, because bitcoin investment is not prohibited in Nigeria.
So many Nigerians are into bitcoin investment because they already know what bitcoin is all about , they know the potentials of bitcoin, and they have watched it grow all these years, and have had the news of adoption and institutional investors accumulating bitcoin, so they are not ignorant about it.
These institutions accepting bitcoin payment in Nigeria are accepting it for investment purpose and not just for expenses because they know bitcoin is a store of value, the more you keep bitcoin in your portfolio the more profitable it becomes.

If that is the case then it is obvious that Nigerians are begining to wake up to the reality of modern trends and this is a step in the right direction which will further impact the economy in a positive way, other nations have long embraced this initiative and it has proven to be lucrative, I wish a time will come when every business in the country will accept Bitcoin because I know that a lot people will still be sceptical about Bitcoin being used as currency for the exchange of goods  and services due to their ignorance and inability to access the requisite knowledge about Bitcoin.

I think you're getting it wrongly, we never said that Nigerians is not using bitcoin of course majority of the citizens here make use of bitcoin rather we are just waiting for the government to make it official just like our local fiat. Because I'm sure that those churches and schools  that is making use of bitcoin can't use it to make purchases unless they will have to convert it to our local fiat before they can be able to make use of it, because that's the only way it will work, But if it's in the aspect of making purchases like food stuffs then i doubt it. So for people to say that Nigerians is not making use of bitcoin does not necessarily mean that no one is holding it but they're actually talking about the aspect of using it in form of fiat.

No one is denying that bitcoin is used in Nigeria, but it has not been announced as an alternative currency or accepted by the government. Even so, people still trade bitcoin and accept it for different deals.

There are many people who use bitcoin in their businesses every day, but many are not aware of this because it is something people won't come to the public to announce.

The use of bitcoin shouldn't be strange to anyone, as the average Nigerian is aware of bitcoin and can easily buy and sell it without any stress. Since there are no restrictions on bitcoin at all, people will definitely use it in exchange for goods and services.

Omo naija no Dey back ooo, just that mostly na trading and holding na him naija people Dey carry serious. I sabi plenty youths wey be say na bitcoin dem Dey use guide ooo as things no really Dey okay for dis our country. The reason why most businesses Dey fear to Dey accept bitcoin na just because of the government wey we get, one fit come now, that one go Dey in support of bitcoin, another one go come, e go Dey against bitcoin, so anybody no want Wetin go affect there business, na why most businesses no Dey accept bitcoin.

During our formal president, we see how CBN start to Dey threaten accounts wey don Dey connected to bitcoin before, so nobody go want anything wey go affect him business. The current government Dey crypto friendly, but d issue be say we never sabi d one wey go come next.

Wetting just happen for the economy about Bitcoin na just say federal government dey block any transactions with the description of cryptocurrency. And secondly them duelist NGN from p2p forost of the exchanges so e come dey difficult for people to freely transact with BTC expecialy like the way we dey use bank but e noean say Dem no dey accept Bitcoin for Nigeria. Many shops and big shopping malls dey accept Bitcoin so no be new thing Sha. So if you see say church dey accept Bitcoin and school my brother no be new thing be that.

Some set of people are still thinking that Nigeria are not using Bitcoin the way other countries are doing, you won't sit in your house and start saying things you don't know about.

It was the ambiguity surrounding Bitcoin status then that made it look that way but people have been using it by individual agreement which is P2P. For bitcoin to be accepted in a country then the government must approve of it as legal just like it is in UAE and some other countries.

The regulation status is now going on through sec

So at the moment with SEC approving cryptocurrency as security asset, it means gradually will are going to see more businesses making official statement on the acceptance on using bitcoin.

It is a welcome development this shows that with time bitcoin will be widely accepted in Nigeria as a means of exchange. However am still surprised if this is actually through,  talking about churches accepting bitcoin really sound strange to me. Also the major hit or blow will be when the government will start thinking towards the direction of setting up a bitcoin reserves.

It’s a good development in Nigeria because with bitcoin in our country now transaction will be be easy. But am surprised because I haven’t seen any church or school accepting bitcoin and it sounds strange to me and for bitcoin to be accept in our country the government must be in approver of it first, we can actually make this things work in Nigeria if the government will willingly to accept bitcoin as a currency, but I doubt this would be possible in Nigeria because of the corruption in Nigeria and bad governance.
