Bitcoin to me is a currency and as well as an investment asset class, but some do consider the investment aspect of it more than seeing it as a currency since there are still existence of fiat currency, people prefer to use fiat currency than they prefer using Bitcoin for transactional purposes due to its cost transaction.
Because Fiat is still the main thing and regulations make Fiat stronger,
like in my country, Bitcoin is only used as a commodity tool and will not be able to replace Fiat for legitimate payments.
Although Bitcoin is only an investment aspect, it also provides quite good profits.
Even taking advantage of the price fluctuations of Bitcoin and altcoins makes more profit with the note that you can trade and read the price movements of the crypto market.
So Bitcoin still has a good place, even though it doesn't completely replace Fiat,
so it's a long-term digital investment that's even close to the equivalent of gold.
