These drops do to mean much, I get that it hurts some people and some people lost some money but that doesn't mean that we are going to stay here, and if you can just hold a bit more then we are going to make some good returns.

I hope that it doesn't end up being that much troublesome because in the end we shouldn't be worried about it. If your target is $150k for this cycle which is a 2.1x return from the last ATH of around $69k, then you can't expect $350-400k for the next cycle. Assets like Bitcoin follow diminishing returns as they get more mature. The money that is required to move it from $150k to $300k is huge. Following the same return and using the target of $150k as this cycle's ATH it would reach a price of around $315k in the next cycle. Of course this is merely how is should work but it is impacted a lot by outside things. There are many more things that could change the picture.

1) A real Bitcoin craze for whatever reason it happens, both by governments and retail. This could be sparked by a big government making a real reserve where they are actively buying Bitcoin.

Let's calculates from the current ATH. Breaking the $130K mark only requires a 4% increase, which isn't impossible happens in the near future. Meanwhile, reaching the $150K ATH requires a 20% increase from current ATH, i think this is a bit more challenging, but still possible. Averaging the price from $125K to the next closing ATH, assuming it's $175K, from this month until December, around 10% a monthly increase of is required. Mathematically, all of this, very possible happens. In case, from 170K making a great FOMO, the way to break $200K within a month may be happens.

I'm not saying it won't happen, it still could happen but we need to be realistic with what has happened this year. Bitcoin hitting $170k was a challenge, let alone hitting $200k or higher.

One thing many of us have yet to accept in this cycle is that bitcoin is no longer small. Bitcoin has a market capitalization of over $2 trillion and with such a market capitalization, it is not right to expect it to be as volatile and grow as rapidly as in previous cycles.

Exactly, as Bitcoin matures, its returns will naturally diminish over time and this applies to every asset, investment, not just bitcoin.


I have said this before but it seems people don't want to accept that fact and set unrealistic goals. The fact is Bitcoin is no longer small and as its capitalization increases, the growth rate will slow down. We cannot expect bitcoin to maintain x3-x5 growth momentum in every cycle as it gets bigger and bigger.


If bitcoin hits $150k this cycle, I don't think it can hit $300k in the next cycle, let alone the bigger target. That only happens if there is a large enough catalyst like you mentioned, but that rarely happens.

BTC look like will be on buying phase again. Based on the RSI indicator and candlestick patterns, this is the fourth green candle, which generally signals of uptrend. If negative sentiment doesn't arise as you said, I'm optimistic BTC will reach its previous all-time high, and even possibly to break it. I also see the EMA indicator (50, TF 1D), which is also nearly surpassed. I think this is can be the way for BTC to break the last ATH in this cycle if valid. What do you think?
