Gambling doesn’t favor either the poor or the rich, gambling favors everyone equally, just that poor people’s mentality is just different from reach people’s own. Poor people’s mentality is mostly how they going to make huge amount of money from gambling, so whenever they are gambling, they do make sure their odds are high, and they going to bet with little amount of money, and they going to end up praying for luck to happen, but the higher your odds, the higher the chances that you going to be losing. The Rich people will pick lower odds, and will gamble with huge amount of money, so even if anyone will be winning, then it’s going to be the Rich person, because the risk is low.

Favored by odds, the difference between the rich with good bankroll is he only needs to pick the bookies favorites to make profits while the poor with low bankroll would need to hedge against bookies to make profits. I don’t believe this is true, I believe the rich and the poor has the same edge, the only thing that makes it look like the rich has more advantage or wins more is their staking power which is due to their huge bankroll. And this could also have its own negative effects on the rich gambler too because it also means that when the losses comes, it’ll also be huge too, the same way they have a fat bankroll, that’s how they’ll also have huge losses, so it works sideways.

Gambling is a very interesting game that has know friend and keeps know  enemy but creates a vacuum that can accommodate any one that is willing to participate in it but never forget to bring the effort of the greedy once to nothing. Some gamblers that eliminate greed in there gambling practice easily come out victorious while the greedy once ends up losing all while gambling. One of the reason why most poor gamblers easily loss is because of odd accumulation, staking more games just for the odd to rise while the rich stake high with little odd making winning very easy for then.

True mate, some low salary earner who actually gamble have been favoured through gamble, not even ones but multiple times. However, it doesn't matter whether you are rich or not, what's matters is how lucky you are. If you are not lucky, you can not win. Even though you are rich or poor, old or even young. One thing some low salary earners do while they gamble is that they normally use small money to win big amount of money and they don't usually get the lucky to win such amount. It's very hard to use $1 to win a thousand dollars.

This is an honest observation. In lot of ways, gambling indeed does favor the rich as they can afford to go for safer bets using bigger stakes, then the poor players mostly chase after big odds as a result of hope or necessity. The more you add selections, the smaller you get the chance of winning, therefore the poor will be left with bigger risks for rewards that are unlikely. Briefly, money provides the rich with better chances to play smart,  while the poor usually gamble as a result of pressure to make it big.

I was having a conversation about gambling with two young men and one of them said gambling is not for the poor people, that it has the proclivity to favour rich people much than with the poor, and the examples he gave  made me to come close to endorsing his interpretation.

His argument is that the rich people gambling do not have to pack a lot of odds as in parlay bet to accumulate a high odd size that will give a satisfying potential win. The rich has the money to risk huge amount to a single game for instance 2 odds staked with $1 million to win $2 millions,  but the poor staking with $100 to win  $2 million has to pick multiple legs to accumulate odds to get such potential win.  It hence decreases the gambling winning chance whilst the rich gambler chance remains increased.

What you're talking about is relative bet sizing and isn't the thing that necessarily would make a rich person happy. If most people bet $5 and win back $10 or $15, they're not going to be that satisfied. The same goes for someone with a lot of cash in the bank, if they bet $5000 and win back $10,000 or $15,000 the same logic applies - it's just pocket change to them even though it looks like a huge amount to most. They are definitely going to receive more perks and "comps" than most people, because like any gambler their losing sessions are going to well outperform their winning ones. It's much easier to pamper one high roller and follow the "cashback" they should receive rather than having 10,000 average lowball players placing bets.

I think big money can be tricky too. For example, casinos or betting platforms might start imposing restrictions on withdrawing our honestly won funds, or they might already have a daily withdrawal limit of no more than $200 a day or something like that. Maybe the rich solve these problems by breaking up their winnings into smaller amounts, although we probably shouldn't worry about that. It's better to focus on how to get rich first, and then worry about their problems with casinos and betting, hehe.

They still do but it's not that they're going to chase most of the good odds that they can find. Because that's how a gambler can see the potential of a game if they're after the odds.

so its not a matter of the rich being favored, but its our decision to stake high with low odds and low risk, or stake low to win much with a little amount.

And the rich still has got the advantage whether they choose to stake with lower odds. Because they've got a bigger bankroll than the poor ones and IMHO, the poor shouldn't gamble but try to find ways in having a better source of income instead.

What you say makes sense, considering that the amount of money needed to place a bet is also significantly different, so the risks taken are also very different. The wealthy increase their chances of winning by setting realistic targets, such as only doubling the bet they want to place, unlike the poor who often aim to get rich, hoping that with a small capital they can generate profits tens of times greater than their capital. It's not impossible, but it seems unreasonable. However, as long as both enjoy the game and use money they are prepared to lose, then there will be no problem.

You are correct, the rich can risk a small odds with large amounts while the poor always go for multiple odds just to balance their pockets. Though, it's still remains the same because luck does not work for the rich only, it is something that the both parties have equal rights that is why the poor are still gambling till today because had it been winning is possible like that, the rich would dominate the gambling industry. because they can easily afford to gamble with a huge amount while the poor would be fearing to lose.
