If op's intentions isn't about just adopting a gambling method blindly for the money, then it is fine. People are different, their risks tolerance and discipline level are different.  OP might not be prepared for what is ahead of him if doesn't think it through first. If he must copy, he should gather all the ideas he can gather, test them if he has to and then use the results gotten to form strategies that will align with his risks tolerance and level of discipline.

Honestly, nothing beats using your own very thought out approach and strategies, because there may come when you might want make a few adjustments and modifications to your approach in order to fit in your personal position, this becomes rather difficult when the strategy was initially not yours but was a copy and paste approach. Besides, gambling they say is meant to be for fun, I really don’t see any fun in gambling when you don’t even know what you’re doing. I know of a friend that has been in big mess now all because his greed wouldn't let him follow the right path while gambling, he has sold literally everything he have just to meet up with his gambling activities, all these was able to take hold all because he took it as a source of income and that has led him to his doom. However we should be wise enough to learn from others people's mistakes instead of allowing it to happen to us before we learn.

Exactly, very good. If you play to have fun, why go into these situations with too much money that creates problems for you, your family, and everyone around you. It doesn't make sense.
