Do people still use trust wallet?

I myself used Trust wallet for a while. And It does initally give you an appropriate fee rate depending on how congested the block chain is at that moment. If the fees that are automatically set is too low and would likely get stuck, there's the possibility to change the amount in transaction fees to the amount you're willing to pay to get your transaction confirmed faster.
I'm not sure if trust wallet supports the RBF feature but it does have the option to tweak your transaction fees before sending to minimize the risk of having your transaction stuck whenever the blockchain is congested.

First I wouldn’t say Trust wallet actually gives appropriate transaction fee it is either they suggest high transaction fees or probably low transaction fee I think this can be testified by many here who might have experienced similar case with me too. Yes I think Trust wallet has actually added the feature of customizing the fee for transaction fee so that is a good update because I was so sure of them not having this feature in the past years just like other features like coin control or even the RBF feature they don’t have it yet in the wallet.

The issue we are tackling which is that of the OP is seriously looking more like a node or server problem and to me this where Trust Wallet is still a poor choice for anyone trying to store bitcoin, the wallet has only one node option and this poor because there should be option for switch of this public nodes or server

One thing with crypto is that you can’t just go above what you are been introduced to without having more knowledge about crypto, and some of us in the past don’t want to learn more, we relied on the information and the little knowledge give to us and sees every wallet apart of trust wallet as a wallet we con never use or a wallet that is not compatible with the coins we have.

If you observe how, things have changed because people are doing more research on cryptocurrency because we have fund means or earning money in crypto space since the government isn’t helpful and in the process of research, many people have noticed that trust wallet is not an open-source and can easily get compromised, so people decide to use other alternatives, and that’s how it has gone down.

To be honest I still use Trust Wallet and it is one of my favorite wallets. And the thing you said about your balance not showing yes it is a problem with Trust Wallet it takes a while for its balance to show. Actually it is not custodial so the funds are protected as long as you have your seed phrase like you see in Electrum. But it is really confusing for newbies because they think the balance is lost.

Trust wallet gain popularity while it was unknown to people along the line the wallet started being known and base on that network started to fail which makes the users having doubts over the wallet because of the slow transaction process both in deposit and withdrawal as a result of that people started embarking from using the wallet it has gotten so bad and not like before its use to be,  so for beginners it is not recommended.

Meanwhile if you look at it today and observe people are doing more research looking for facts finding of crypto knowledge so as for people going deeper for research and it's enlighten them of how to look for alternatives to solve things out without including wallet so for now using of wallet is more less than earlier it was been known.

Trust Wallet (just like many other popular wallets out there) nor be Bitcoin wallet. Dem be crypto wallets. But dem go still fit display Bitcoin balance from d Blockchain. My suggestion to u and any other person na to get Bitcoin specific wallets for Bitcoin, and nor mix am up to avoid confusion for ur side.

I think say nah only me dey prefer to use Trustwallet oh. No be say I no get idea of other wallets but the thing no dey stress me much nah make I never reason another one. If nah a case of slow transactions and all that, I no dey experience am. I once used trust wallet before, but not any longer, untill when I realized that it's a non custodial close source wallet, had it been it's an open source, it would have been still better and recommendable, because you have a variety of coins being supported by the use of trust wallet, I also see that most of the bounty hunters too are much in support of the use of trust wallet, because they can easily maneuver their ways from handling it together with their bounties, but today, there are more better decisions to go for being experienced in Crypto and wallet choice, such could be electrum, passport, blue wallet and the likes, far better than trust wallet.

All the times i have used the said wallet, i have not had any of such experience except for the delayed deposit and sending time, i have have not had challenge with my balance appearing in my wallet and i do not actually do huge deposits there. One thing i have come to notice is that you have challenges the most when you try to use trust wallet along side other app by virtue of linkage or something but if you are using it independently, except for the probability of compromise, you may not get to face too many challenges using it as this has been my experience with it for the longest of times i have used it.

How do you know, do you have any statistics to proof that trust wallet is the highest wallet used in Nigerian, I want us to be saying what we know, if people around you uses trust wallet that doesn’t mean that everyone in Nigerian is using trust wallet, I don't agree with such, we have other wallets people use, Did you forget that trust wallet is not much saved, a wallet that you can trust very well because of its security is Electrum wallet, and so many people who hold Bitcoin for long-term uses Electrum wallet not trust wallet, I can only agree with you that so many Nigerians uses trust wallet, if you show us the proof, do you know that we have coinomi, people is also using coinomi in Nigerian, so don't give a reference for something you don't know.

There are individuals who still use trust wallet, but the problem and network glitch with them is too much which is why we should be care when using it, and endeavor to also have a password or something that could protect your wallet, but for me I can’t be using the trust wallet anymore because there is so much scam right now and that is enough reason to be care and use a wallet that is more protected more like unregulated wallet address.

I know there are a lot of people using trust wallet in Nigeria and sometimes something that is good for is might not be good for someone else, and they usually have this delay in receiving funds.

Of course people still use it. You’re right that trust wallet happened to be one of the most used wallets, not just by Nigerians but also other countries, I’ve used it before for transactions but the truth is that I haven’t really observed any transactions wahalas, in fact I still have the wallet on my phone (even though it’s been a long time since I used it).
Although what made me initially stop using trust wallet was one certain time that trust wallet users experienced a serious glitch that magically changed everyone’s balance, you’d see millions of dollars in your wallet but actually can’t withdraw it. This actually made me lose interest in the wallet, not that it affected my actual balance because it was later rectified.

People still make use of trust wallet, but just what you said, if there's any situation whereby people are no longer using trust wallet anymore it will be that because doing transactions on trust wallet takes more time than other wallets like the Electrum wallet. Nowadays people mostly go for advanced things and they dump the old ones if they no longer give them the results they want. Sometimes low transactions fees also affects BTC transactions, when you perform a transaction with low fees you don't expect miners to mine your coins with low fee and leave the ones with higher fees.

Trust Wallet really used to be one of the best and most common wallet for Nigerians that time, but lately e don dey behave somehow..  I notice say sometimes transaction dey hang or delay before e go reflect. Wetin happen to you na clear example say dem still need to fix plenty things for the app..

The thing is that trust wallet not bad though but am not actually a fan of it , base on what you said there are scenarios that can explain it , you know that trust wallet is a multichain wallet  . So you can actually edit which token to show , or maybe is an issue from their end but has been long have made use of trust wallet so I can’t tell how their service is now . But then I was making use of it and was not actually bad and it was till fast depending on how congested the transaction is then .

Trust wallet is safe for Crypto transactions. Your seed phrase was compromised and you start blaming it on Trust wallet. This is your flaws and yours alone to dealt with because if you had guarded your seed phrase properly, your funds wouldn't have been stolen. Your wallet seed phrases is the only access to your wallet which means you're in charge of the security of your account,no body would be blame if your funds is compromised.

Well I get your point but it's vague. Trust wallet is not really safe infact most custodian multi coin wallets are not. Most of these hacks you come across don't really happen because they exposed their seed phrases or keys some of them get compromised by making use of smart contracts which is something single coin wallets like especially bitcoin wallets like ELECTRUM lack.

I think you may be able to recall the bybit hack that happened a couple of months ago, that hack and theft was carried out with a reverse smart contract which is how most victims also lost their funds. Mind you bybit also has a cold storage for a large stash of their coins. The point is to take full control and take your keys as far from the internet as possible because of the higher risks there.

A lot of people still do even though there have been several post that the wallet is closed source. Despite that, I know many people that have been using the wallet for a very long time and they have not encounter any issues. I'm not recommending Trust to anyone because the idea that it is not open source is already a big red flag. Instead of Trust wallet, Electrum wallet is better because it is open source and therefore, safer to use.
