LocalCoinSwap Ending their service in India

Due to recent regulatory developments, LocalCoinSwap will cease offering services to users located in India. Access from Indian IP addresses will be geoblocked beginning October 8, 2025.

What You Need to Do:

If you are based in India or accessing the platform from within India, please take immediate action to withdraw any account balances, and/or export your wallet keys. All actions must be completed before October 8, 2025. After this date, access from India will be restricted, and affected users may no longer be able to retrieve funds.

I don't know how many of you have used this but this is one of the popular p2p used by Indians which is similar to Paxful but provided noncustodial wallet. Now they also shut down their doors due to what our government demands from any crypto related platforms. I thought they will continue to operate because their userbase is huge in here yet the decided to comply and restricted now.

If you have any balance left just withdraw or connect VPN and import the private key to the supported wallets.

Bad news for LCC users of India. Previously when I came to this forum first, LBC was running and then they eventually had shut down. Then these swap sites have come up to fill up the power vacuum.

Assuming none of the handful users here have accounts there, always be on the lookout for these sites shutting down, because this can happen anytime you and need to be quick about withdrawing money, otherwise it will need a VPN. Opera browser is always free for that purpose.

Sometimes these shut down will result in complete loss for the users because many still keep their funds in exchange and forget that until they want to sell it back which is wrong and this has been said many times in bitcointalk too. However, not everyone is open to learn anything they have their own way of interpretation until becomes life lesson.

In this case even if the site doesn't let anyone access, still the wallet can be imported because they provided private key access.

I had heard of their service earlier through this forum but never got to use it yet.
That said, I believe something new and better should come up sooner or later.

Now there is only one door left Noones of that kind, and already they were also facing geo block so they now tackle with mirror links and who knows they might also be forced to shut down in real soon.

Government is not banning them either but strong hammering them with strict regulations and follow them or exit the market.

They have to meet them in the middle if they want to legally operate or soon users will lose one more platform.

I just hope everyone who had balance amount on the site had taken out their money from the site else they would probably lose their money on the site.
Although we can continue to use the site using a VPN but there's no guarantee that we will be able to access the amount on the site or continue doing any transactions through the site.
Its better to build a crypto circle and carry out P2P transactions with trusted peers only.

More pushing people to grey market transactions. I used to use LBC for everything and it was amazing even when traveling.

CDM P2P is not bad at all though. It's funny how that market came about.

Indeed Cash deposit option is safer than any other but it is mostly for the big players because the range we can find CDM will be atleast 50K and we might have to pay more like 10% in crypto to get that offer which is the negative part in it.

There's crypto united TG group operating with low escrow fee and better deals but I never used them and also not sure how disputes will be handled in there.

Using TG groups for any purpose have never been ideal because mostly they ended with scam and lost of money for many as mentioned one door is closed another is going to open hopefully something positive will be happened.
Sometime feeling sad how things are working here because government understand this is huge market and this can bring FDI as well but still just for their own interest they are not allowing common peoples to take advantage and banning things which are helpful for millions.
Grey market is surely increasing, and their presence is always threat for governments, but they are encouraging them to stay and enjoy.

It is not just a random telegram group but more like automated bot and it's trusted one so there is no worries and also there are admin and moderator to resolve in case of disputes but choosing the right partner and safer payment mode is indeed a smart choice. But it could have been better if they can integrate their trading feature into a website so users can trade with no pain of checking everything with the mods.

But I think they are afraid they might be tracked and shut down if they use domain for this purpose which is why they are sticking with telegram alone.

What it is about? You can share it here or in the appropriate board and see if someone can come up with a possible solution while tackling all these. Here we have more users with something to contribute rather than pulling the one who tries to do something to the community.

My guess it is about building a website for crypto trading...
