I have been wondering about Bitcoin price stability for months because it has shown no significant movement. People claim that whales perform all the selling but I remain unconvinced about this statement, Even during much shakier times, the die-hard hodlers didn't sell. I did some digging, and I'm convinced the low price is being actively manipulated by Wall Street players.
The system operates by using your Bitcoin funds to execute its operations.
The core of the problem is all that easy liquidity. Users who keep their Bitcoin on exchanges and DeFi applications to earn small yields create a massive available coin supply which amounts to 400,000 to 500,000 BTC based on my research. That's their ammunition.
Here’s my suspicion on their playbook:
They initiate a large short position in the futures market which functions as a controlled explosive device to create a moderate price decrease.
That drop liquidates highly leveraged retail traders (the folks using too much borrowed money), which forces a massive wave of selling, dropping the price further.
Then, the sophisticated arbitrage funds borrow the BTC from our yield pools and immediately sell it on the spot market for a quick profit.
See how that works? Our simple choice for convenience (earning yield) creates the inventory they need to keep selling and keep the price capped. We're literally handing them the bullets to shoot down the price.
But there’s a silver lining! The suppression will eventually collapse because people cannot sustain it indefinitely just as attempting to stop a dam with their hands would be impossible. The situation continues to intensify until it will result in a huge explosion.
The fix? Self-custody.
Every single Bitcoin I move off an exchange and onto my own hardware wallet is one less coin they can borrow. The system takes away their control while safeguarding the actual worth of Bitcoin. The current suppressed market value functions as a beneficial discount which will disappear when prices start to rise. I'm taking advantage, and you should too. Let's take back control!
