"Football pool" means different things to different people around the world  We have lots of pools here on the forum, players pool funds together, mostly with some sponsorship and bet on each match day to top the leaderboard. That's obviously not what you're referring to, but without much information one cannot tell which gives more winning.

I should also add that you win more with games you have more experience in. Someone who is used to betting on one type of system will struggle to adjust to another and win.

I have this strong feelings that if the people once discover about the best betting strategy if games that gives them more winning edge than the others, then that is where their concentration is going to be because they know their chances of winning is very high when using such strategy or playing the particular game first, so I don't think there's a particular preference for that except when we are already used to playing any before.

If I should compare betting and the pools on this forum, they are two different things. I prefer both because they are not the same but different.

I like pools and I like betting alone without competing with anyone.

It's not just about winning and losing or a hobby, I prefer betting on tennis matches, every shot is a moment that changes quickly, I often bet on tennis, especially in live matches, but not for pre-matches, in 1 match I can place 5-10 bets

Each of us prefer to bet or gamble with the sport we are familiar with. To some old men pools draw is easier for them to predict meanwhile some others prefer predicting other features like over and under game than pools draw. Most people believe that pools game are fixed match that's why they can follow pattern and win, unlike the home and away features that is difficult to predict. And I am convinced to an extent to believe in his strategy because sometimes the prove to me about the games to play draw exactly how he predicted it and it plays. But where I am force not to believe is because most times it doesn't play according to how he predicted, which made me believe that it is just luck. My dad is a pool gambler and he claims to know the tactics to win them since he has a lot of results and prove that he wins in most of the time. Sometimes I wonder how draw is even easy to be predict when home and away win is even difficult. In conclusion both pools and normal betting all are luck base and no one is easier to predict than the other regardless of our understanding in those sports prediction.

Betting pool is a competition against user so the advantage depends on the user you are competing. Surely this is the best if you can dominate it with your skills but for those user with low skills will not preferred it as they are mainly source of other user profit due to their inferior analysis skills.

For me as a non regular bettor, I preferred normal betting. No competition and just no pressure at all to win.

It’s actually hard to comment on this topic given that the pool betting being described by the OP is far too different to the typical pool betting especially that he mentioned betting only on draw.

Pool betting is a competition type game or in other it’s a consolidation  of multiple bet from different user on one bet to increase their bankroll.

Either way, predicting draw on football is hard to do since the game result is 3 way. I agree on this case that normal betting is much better due to various options of bet with lesser risk.

Pool betting is not a terrible idea. I like pool betting, but the chances of winning the pool is slim compared to normal sports betting in a casino or local sportsbook. If, I'm not mistaken in pool you have to choose numbers that reflect the game you feel will end in a draw right? Somehow it is similar to lottery, based on random numbers.

Well said but in your conclusion you said pool and other betting are luck no indeed is not luck but good prediction,to me and others who are into gambling will differently say the same pool or other betting platforms is never luck but good predictions that make good winning am good in it asin prediction in times of betting and other features I can predict so betting is never luck,but one can say you are lucky when a good predictor make wins

I don't disagree that gambling is not base on good prediction, but all I am saying is that even if you are good predictor, you still need luck to win that's why no gambler is champion. If you claim gambling and or betting depends on good prediction and nothing like luck, I urge you to create a thread and make each prediction every 2 days or weekly and make sure your prediction is accurate, only then will I agree to this statement.

I haven’t been a big fan of pools, where all you’ve got to predict are draws and that’s it. I consider draws some of the most difficult bets to predict. It might come easily to some people who truly understands but, not to me. The win market is always a welcomed gambling market for me and it’s where I play the most. I don’t even bet on draws there still, both are very rewarding form of gambling when you get your predictions right.

OP is actually talking about Draw predictions market only, the gambling market that only predict on DRAW and not other betting options, that's what he meant as "Pool betting"

In my country, there are many gambling shops whose only predictions on football betting are based on DRAW, they do not include all the leagues though, mostly English League, Scotland, and others are sighted to predict on.

What's unique about it is that, cashout is not done immediately, you'll wait for 2-4 business days before cashout is been approved to be paid out.

It's old method though but few gamblers are still partaking in it especially older age gambler.
