So I ran a Bitcoin Magazine article through AI to get a propaganda score. I generally like to do that for articles I agree with to check my own bias. This time, it was done with an article I disagree with. This one:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/technical/bitcoin-knots-has-been-nothing-more-than-a-denial-of-service-attack-on-bitcoin

Here is the propaganda score I got:

Quote
Propaganda score: 78 / 100 (High).
It’s an agitation piece: creates a guiding myth (“Knots = DoS”), polarizes factions, and deploys strong labeling and simplification to mobilize sentiment. There is some rational casing (fee-auction logic, relay mechanics), but it’s selective and serves the myth rather than testing it. The strongest propaganda levers are myth-making, labeling, and polarization; weakest are integration and balanced rational inquiry.

It's an interesting attempt, but I think of this "propaganda score" as more of a vibe rather than objective truth.

The AI tells you the piece leans on framing and labels, not whether the technical claims are right or wrong. I was thinking at least that you'd strip the article down to testable statements and go to primary sources for verification.

What specific Knots policy or change is alleged to cause a DoS? What's the mechanism, what are the costs, and where are the measurements?

I didn't even know the Bitcoin Magazine site had any pages like this.  I've been on their site to browse their products, magazines, and such and haven't seen a link to that "technical" section--so thanks for that at least.

What is the point of this thread exactly, and of how much importance is it?

^ I do think that the OP wants to hear what others think regarding it.

I do remember other topics by him if I am correct, and they followed the same line of thought about the chain and spam.

The  point of this thread is that we are being lies to and manipulated on a large scale when it comes to the current spam war. I believe bitcoin is currently under attack at a state level. A well financed and organized adversary determined to undermine bitcoin at all cost.

Now the article linked in op is obvious propaganda to anyone who pays attention. i don't need AI to tell me that.  But if i had just come out and declared that the article is a biased piece of propaganda, core shills on this forum would have jumped on here and accused me of being a throll and an idiot.

If you need any signs that the information you receive is highly curated and preselected, please pay attention to the Core 30 release thread pinned at the top of this section..At one point it was filled with negative comments. But they were all deleted, spare two positive comments. Now some bad comments were made again. See how long before those too are removed.
