Is altseason still possible by end of 2025?

With 10 weeks to go now of 2025, some might feel that is not much time but its still 10 weeks, a lot can happen during that time but is altseason still likely?

For those who were here in 2020/2021, how long did altseason last? Ive heard it only really lasts a month or two and if that is correct then we could still see it by year end?

With another rate cut due in only 5 days now, QT ending, China & Russia possibly agreeing tarrifs next week too, it sounds like there is some hope for a good end of year.

What are we thinking currently? Can we fit an altseason in before end of year or this likely going into Q1 now?

Or are there many of us on here who feel altseason will not even come?

I feel we will have some kind of altseason, but dont expect it to be as big as 2021.

I think a mini altseason is still possible before year-end, but nothing like 2021. BTC is still dominating, and we’ll need to see its dominance drop first for alts to really move. ETF flows have been mixed lately — big inflows, then quick outflows — so sentiment’s shaky. If BTC cools off a bit and majors like ETH or SOL start leading, we might get a few good weeks for alts. Otherwise, it probably drags into Q1 2026.

Most people do not recognized the altcoins bull season as the altseason because they want bitcoin marketcap to fall more and go into altcoins instead, they are only deceiving themselves. Such altseason will not occur in this season. Just be very careful because the altcoins may fall more.

Like i said i dont think altseason will be as big as 2021 but think its a bit of stretch to say there will be no altseason at all.

Bitcoin could pump to $150k, some are even saying $180k but it will come back down and some of that money at least will go into alts.

The whales know how this game works, they will get take their profits out of Bitcoin and then want even more and its a lot easier to make a quick return by pumping alts so would be surprised if they don't do that before bear market returns.

XRP pumped like 500% end of last year in just a few months and the market conditions were not great then. Now we have multiple rate cuts coming and QT ending, which tends to be a good time for crypto so money should flow into the market next few months.

If so, then it's likely that we've got pretty had hit already and if there will be the next altcoin season then it's pretty much going to happen on the next cycle then. I'm not sure about that but if there won't be pumps anymore for the altcoins then that's to be expected.

I haven’t sold yet because Altcoins have been down since January thanks to Trump and his tariffs and no rate cuts crashing the market.

We now have rate cuts, QT ending, Trump & China likely coming up with a tariff deal by end of next week and alts are very oversold so do believe at the very least we will have some kind of mini altseason where many alts will 5-10x. I am just not sure if we will see that by end of 2025 or if it will go into 2026 now.

When I talk about altcoins, I remember 2021. Many say that the golden season of altcoins-2021 will not come again. However, I am optimistic in this regard. Since its price fluctuates greatly on BTC dominance, if BTC's influence is halved and the ETH/BTC pair strongly reverses or increases, the price of altcoins may increase slightly towards the end of this year. However, the big alt season may be in mid-2026 and may touch the previous record of 2021 again, but most DeFi, NFT, Layer-2 projects will have to increase their work. In this case, the price of BTC must be stable on the downside and the price of ETH must increase.

The altcoin season happening this year-end will not be as huge as some of us are expecting, compared to that of 2021. Let's put our guards down on that so that we will all be happy at the end of the year for the little profits we are to make, if we have an achievable target price. I think by doing that, we will all be fine with thinking less of not being a millionaire this circle.

Been here for almost a decade, and i have passed several bulltrend. As far as i know a bull trend would be last for a quarter, which mean around 3 months. I never seen bull trend that can last for more than a quarter.

Beside that it seems impossible to see alts season before the end of this year. I'm not being pessimistic, but BTC.D chart seems tell we may suffer a sideway trend. BTC.D chart seems slowly move back again to the above 60%.

However, i don't rule out the possibility for alts season to come but better to lesser your expectation. If you make multiple times ROI for your portfolios, there's nothing wrong to sell it.

Anyway, how's good your portfolios? It seems you're truly a diamond hand.

Thanks for reminding us, but we're waiting for that moment, sir, because a lot of my portfolio is tied up, and we don't want to speculate any more. The market is quite confusing. One wrong move could be checkmate, even though today is already sunny and not cloudy if i see.

Sometimes we can see bitcoin together with other altcoins performing together, while in some other condition, we only see either of them pumping at the same time, this shows that we have altcoins season and bitcoin season while the two can also come along together, knowing which phase and stage of the market we are into is very important, because there are times to accumulate, hold or sell depending on the seasonal circles.

With memecoin trading becoming a trend, it surely gets a slice of the pie. That's one of the reasons why we didn't get what we expected from altcoins this season. Maybe even if we do have an altcoin season this year, the rise may not be the same or close to what happened before. Unless the trend shifts to altcoins, of course, a lot of traders will also move into them, causing the prices to rise as we expect. Who knows, let's see if the market will recover before or during the holiday season.

That is one of my altcoins, i am just waiting for a few more of them to pump like that now.

We need the US Government shutdown to end as that is really holding the market back so soon as it opens again should be good for crypto as a whole.

Let's wait until the end of the 2025 but good luck to you if your plan is going into 2026 and you haven't done anything yet and didn't take profits. Because that year is going to be the bear market if we're going to base it off from the 4-year cycle and everyone knew about that. Anyway, we can only hope that there will be a prolonged period of bull run for this cycle but we don't know for how long it will be until early 2026.

well!! i stand to be corrected but i  think there is still a small chance we could see a  quick,  sharp and short altseason before the end of this 2025 but it kinda depends a lot on Bitcoin’s movement. if BTC stays stable or try to consolidates after a small rally some alts might pump a little. but if Bitcoin keeps being volatile, most alts will probably lag as well. the current market feels kind of cautious and with rate cuts and global news playing out as well, investors might wait until early 2026 before going heavy into alts. so mild run could still happen this year, but the bigger altseason might be in Q1 of 2026

Personally, as for me, I doubt this happening by the end of the year for altcoins season to kick start, but anything can happen, although some coins may also show some abilities to rise and perform well, but not in their majority as we may expect during the alts season, I also think we aren't done with bitcoin bull season till maybe after the end of the year 2025.

ICP is a weak example, how about ZEC because privacy narrative is going strong right now.
The altcoin season arleady happened but it's happening to one category of altcoin at a time, not the altcoin season that people are expecting simply because there's no money to pump altcoins all at once.
