Youthful desire can be a force for change of one's mindset.
The term "youthful desire" on its own is not inherently negative. It is a natural feeling and experience common to most young people as they grow up. What truly matters is the specific desire a person cultivates. A youth may genuinely desire freedom, independence, stable employment, love, and other positive outcomes. These are all expressions of youthful desire, channeled in a constructive direction.
I understand that many youths nowadays feel pressured to do "whatever it takes" just to fit in or feel important. However, we must acknowledge the current global reality. There is no one perfect age to start striving for success or generating wealth, what matters is the method employed.
Many developed countries actively encourage young people, sometimes as young as 10 or 11, to start striving. Yet, here in Nigeria, we often encounter the discouraging phrase, "you never reach to dey make that type of money ," despite the fact that our economic environment becomes more challenging almost daily.
