When I saw this story I decided to create this thread Because some people may have forgotten or may not even have the knowledge that online love scam still exist, some set of people use fake identity to chat you up and make you fall in love with them and when they notice that you are falling deeply in love with them they start extorting money from you with different strategy some may even tell you just like what happened in this story that you should invest in an online platform and it with time you will get huge amount of profit not knowing that the platform is created by them and the money you're paying is going to them.
So be very careful when falling in love online, don't trust any online investment introduced to you online

Online scams are real and are always deadly. We have heard so many about it. People trick people to believing that they are someone else while they are not. Victims can even sell there property just to make sure they meet up the demand of there lover, and after you realise it's all scam, you cry out a river, but then, it becomes too late to savage the situation.

For me, sending money to an unknown person you net online us somewhat risky since you cannot be very sure that they are real persons.  I can send some money to someone I know facially very well if they ask me for help online, but for a total stranger, hell No!

let's not look for love where there's none, people could pretend a lot in other to achieve what they have targeted against others.

Though, we also need to consider there have been many people who have met their partner and spouses online, that have become kind of a trend as times passes by and more people make use of social media and online communities to meet people who could be interested on one another.

It is because those success stories there are so many people who think the same could happen to them, and get some partner from the internet, one which shares the same interest and tastes. That is where scammers spoil others who just want to have a chance to find love.

Crypto scam has been in existence long time ago, I believe this is not the first time someone has been scammed of his crypto asset. Any one on internet should be Very careful with the kind of people they discuss with, expecialy any discussion that involves money or crypto should be avoided totally. The thing is that the reg flag is always clear but most guys will still fall for it out or greediness. The truth is that any business we try to do online without knowing who we are doing business with physical, should be totally avoided because the risk is very high. And if you are scammed for it, you won't hold anybody responsible for it because you took an unnecessary risk.

Exactly, these news have been occurring on daily basis, scammers are still out there scamming people, which people have been hearing about it and they have been also informed not to engage on any information they haven't verify for their own benefit yet some people still fall their traps, maybe it's because of their ignorance or some reasons best known to them but it's essential for people to always do the necessary adjustments to make sure they protect their crypto assets and also be able to detect when it's a scam and when it's real.

Regardless of how obsolete you assume that a scam is, some people are still falling victim. These scammers target the elderly because they know that many of them are not aware of this type of scam since they are not digital natives. This set of people is usually lonely and desperately seeking companionship. Due to their quest for love, it is easy to manipulate them. Love is meant to be unconditional, so anyone who is asking me for money for affection is wasting their time. I treat everybody I don't know as a stranger on the internet. I always assume that strangers online are potential scammers. Its so sad that the person in the original story lost such an amount. 

Well this is because you are educated medially, a whole lot of time that scams like this happens is because the other person is lonely and desperate too if not how will you believe someone you haven't met before to invest soo much on there idea?,the whole situation happens fast and It's only God that saves some of them if not after something like this they just go ahead and commit suicide.

Yes you are correct,I was scammed some days ago by online friend who said I should send him money that instead of me coming that far to pick her that we actually need to see so instead of me going to pick her I just decided to make a payment so I can withdraw it and come ,but could you believe that this girl refuses to show up ,I was like how

People are still like this ,how much self , though I didn't panic but I felt it because that's not how is supposed to be , people should respect their self when they came out

I don't know why some people use to take everything serious on social media, people can pretend more than 1 or 2  years to be something they are not, but some will believe and start trusting them on social media which is not good because it has lead many to loss everything they have made, I don't see any reason that will make me to be dealing with people on social media I don't know everything about their Bio data because this is what involve fund, you don't have to go into love to destroy your business on social media because there are scammers in the social media looking for people that will fall in love to invest on their scams project to use the opportunity to steal their funds.

This is not all about education but emotions. There are people that are slightly emotional and can not fall for ordinary love scam because they understand what love means and are not freak about online dating. Loneliness can make a person choose to find love online when they don't have a lover or someone that will talk to them or inspire them while keeping them busy.

It's because it's easier to talk and say nasty things on social media than of personal talk. It's a testing ground now for anyone who's trying to find love desperately. Many friends that I know of until now came from social media and that's because confidence is way better there if we're going to talk someone. And this is what the romance scammers are taking advantage of, they're targeting the vulnerable and those who can easily be praised and become their friends. But the victims don't know that they're already targeted and they should have see it getting more serious and obvious when they start asking for some money.

The truth is, it’s crazy how online scams have evolved . Back then it was easier for people to spot the fake profiles, bad grammar and lies, but now these scammers have updated. They copy people’s pictures, voice and even use Ai to do video call with someone else’s face. Like you’re literally seeing the person they’re pretending to be.
The sad part is that people still fall for it , because when someone is caring, cheeks on you and looks real on video it’s easy to trust them. And if you fall in love with them before you know it you’ve sent them money or investing in fake assets.
My advice is don’t trust too quickly and don’t send money to someone you’re not sure about , maybe you can even ask a friend for a second thought if you feel the person is being fishy. And remember that real people won’t pressure you to send money or invest.

I have not seen any updates from US government about coming to Nigeria to intervene anymore what is going on, does anyone here have any information on what is going on because I was thinking by now the US military we have been in Nigeria but till date I have not seen anything like that, have they changed there mind, even the Nigerian government is not doing anything to make sure that this bandits are being apprehended, right now what I'm seeing is that they have started playing politics with this whole matter, the US government can help us if the Nigerian government cannot because a lot of people are dying.

People using fake, AI-generated clips are some entry-level ones whereas the ones like this one are not using any fake profiles, they use real models and exploit the people who are in real desperation. SO it can be a fake video or real girl behind that video but there is no reason for them to trust when we have no other real info because we all know people fake when it comes to social media, so their sweet words are nothing but a trap for something in return.

Meeting someone online isn’t bad, I have seen people meet each other online before, and they were able to
Start something from there, but don’t meet a random person online, and you going to start sending the person money all in the name of dating. If you meet someone online, make sure you see the person physically before you going to give them anything, after meeting and you know the person is real, then you can start spending on the person.

If you meet someone online and immediately they ask you to send them money, know they are scammer, and if anyone you meet online introduce any investment to you, also know they are scammer, they always give attractive offers that will push you to invest, but they going to scam you at the end.

Online love scams sure still exist, and the format they used to deceive other people will continue to exist as long as people look for love online. This internet scam love has affected many people to avoid whatever they see about love online because there are no real people online anymore, a lot of them are fake, looking for someone to scam. We needs to be very careful, because I wonder why some people still believe in this online love.

Honestly, it has reached a level that it’s very important for us to be very careful with the people we share our information with. Because not everybody is trusted now; even our close friends can’t be trusted anymore, and that’s why we can’t open everything for them. Many things online that should not be trusted because many people interests on the internet are only scams, it's not only looking for love, but also things like online businesses, there are many things that scammers can design to trick you into believing them, and if you fall for it, you end up losing everything you have worked for over the years. It is a good idea to buy from someone close to you rather than someone you meet online at randomly.
