According to The Guardian, the fight at UFC Vegas 110 between Isaac Dulgarian and Yadier del Valle looked strange. Dulgarian was the favorite, but he lost fast in the first round. Before the fight, many people suddenly bet on del Valle, and the odds changed a lot. The UFC noticed this and asked the FBI to check it. (Tbh, I didn’t know the FBI could intervene in such situations.)
What could happen in this kind of case? Do you think they can really prove that something illegal took place?

I've watched so many UFC fights and this is basically the first time for me to hear such a thing happening. I guess there was not an investigation started without a reason. Dulgarian's odds were lower, which means that he had a higher chance to win. Also, he was the favorite but this alone doesn't mean much. The problem is that there was a sudden betting surge on Del Valle and Dulgarian lost in the first round in a way that it was uncharacteristic for someone given his skill level.

There is a huge chance it was rigged and Dana White's reaction wasn't exaggerated. It can seriously damage UFC's reputation and affect UFC's betting market. There are too many things that will negatively affect UFC if they don't investigate it and fix the issue.

That UFC Vegas 110 fight did look unusual. When a heavy favorite like Dulgarian suddenly sees massive late bets go against him, it usually raises a red flag for regulators. The FBI’s involvement shows how seriously the UFC treats betting integrity, especially after previous insider-betting scandals. Still, proving fight-fixing isn’t easy unless there’s evidence of coordination between bettors, trainers, or fighters.

Do you think sportsbooks should start sharing suspicious bet data across platforms in real time to prevent this kind of thing?
