Skill and luck, which play bigger role in sports betting?

Sports betting still requires luck, especially for bettors who prefer high-risk bets, such as parlay bets with many legs.
It's impossible for them to choose randomly, they certainly analyze the results, but imagine doing enough analysis to be wrong, yet luck leads to a win despite the high risk.

This is basically just saying we need both skill and luck to win. You can't secure your winning with your analysis; luck helps finish the job. We can only use those analyses to make our good pick and allow our luck to handle the rest. Even if we are not betting on high-risk parlay games, we still need luck to be on our side to win a sporting event bet.

Yes luck can always be needed but we just can't rely on luck every time right? We do need some skills so we can make our predictions before we place the bet. Not everyone is lucky enough to end up winning in every game. Sometimes luck will play a better role but sometimes luck will just make us end up in losses. Not everyone is lucky enough right? So for those who are not lucky enough, skills is their main weapon and they can only profit out of gambling if they acquire required skills.

Making skilled bets can increase our chances of winning rather than luck based betting. I do not have good experience trying my luck with gambling so I would prefer using my skills instead.

All of what you've said, I agree with if it's about the consistency of the team and as well as the bettor. But I beg to disagree about luck is the main role here.

In sports betting, we've got stats to based with and that's how the bettors are looking up to if they are going to bet seriously.

While I don't dispose and ignore the factor of luck, it's not the main thing that brings up a win for both bettors and teams.

We can see a team with a lot of star players but lose from a team without a single star players. So, from this we can say the team with start players is unlucky because lose from mediocre team. I know, stats give us more perspective to choose one of team to bet on. But, this still a prediction with higher probability to get the right choise. But, the results of the game, we never know before full time happens. So, there still a luck for us to get the win, well i aggree this cant be said as the main role for sport betting, but luck still become something that never be forgotten when we are betting.

In most sports, even with star players, that doesn't guarantee them to win. They have a upperhand but it still means that they can lose.

So, it all still goes with skills but I won't deny that there's a bit of luck in there. I wouldn't belittle those teams that have little to no stars.

That's right, so indeed these two factors play an important role in gambling even we really need luck to win and yes even though sports betting or other types of games that require skill still the luck factor cannot be eliminated so maybe saying luck plays a bigger role it makes sense, because in all types of gambling luck while with skill not all gambling games require it. it is possible for someone that started gambling today, that has no gambling skills that have a huge winnings while those that has been gambling for ages even with their gambling skills were unable to win anything big.so I think the most important thing in gambling is luck, without luck even the most skill gambler can't win a bet. When it comes to winning one time, then you could be right, and I will agree with you, but you see, when we talk about winning in sports betting in the long run, luck has little role to play. That same person who places a bet on random games and is lucky to win that very day can't try that next time and still win, but the person with skill might also not be winning every day, but his chances of winning are higher than the bettor without any single skill and who knows nothing about what they are doing.
