The problem of insecurity in Nigeria is affecting all calibers of people in the country, and is not only centered on students. So if Mr president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made up his mind to tackle the insecurity in Nigeria, let him tackle it generally; they should not only work on rescuing students alone, but work on the general safety of all Nigerians and make this country Nigeria a safe dwelling place for Nigerian citizens.
What is your take on this topic?
Is it today he started having meetings with service chiefs and nothing is really happening from the side of the government concerning the eradication of the bandits as they call them. Just few hours ago I saw a news were they claimed to have rescued some of the victims and the question was, where were they bandits as at the time of rescuing? Because you can't tell us that you went to rescue victims and you didn't have resistance from the abductors, it's never possible. Unless they want to tell us that we don't know the meaning of RESCUE. It's either they paid ransom and if it's that, that's not rescuing. You're even giving the bandits more finances to purchase more sophisticated weapons to abduct more victims. So long as I'm concerned, i stand with late Sani Abacha on his statement that says, any insurancy that exceeds 24 hours, the government has a hand in it.
