Fast | Fair | PoW | Scrypt | Mainnet Live [Dec 04 - 2025]

🔹 Altoshi Coin (Altcoin / ALT) — A Clean, Fair Scrypt PoW Blockchain

Altcoin (Altoshi Coin / ALT) is a Litecoin-family Proof-of-Work blockchain rebooted under a clean new-genesis mainnet (NG1).
It brings upgraded networking rules, modern P2P behavior, and improved mining compatibility.

The goal is simple: a fair, transparent chain that anyone can mine, build on, verify, and understand.
No presale. No ICO. No VC backing. Just a lightweight PoW network with clear monetary rules and predictable issuance.

A simple, transparent chain for miners, node operators, and developers who appreciate PoW purity, anyone can join.
We just want to Mine

Quote
Altcoin NG1 → NG2: Chain Reset & Fresh Mainnet Launch

Short Summary
Altcoin NG1 is now frozen. NG2 mainnet will launch fresh from block 0 with a fair, modern, clean setup. NG1 will remain as a deprecated prelaunch chain for testing only.

🔥 Why NG1 Is Frozen & Why NG2 Is Needed
  • NG1 had extreme mining centralization — one miner acquired ~96% of the total supply.
  • Consensus rules (SegWit, P2SH/CSV/BIPs) were inherited with activation heights in the far future → caused stuck and invalid transactions under wallet-generated SegWit inputs.
  • Early wallet behavior created “zombie” transactions due to locktime and mempool mismanagement.
  • Starting from a real launch under these conditions would perpetuate structural unfairness and technical fragility.

🚀 What NG2 Will Deliver
- New genesis block, fresh chain from block 0
- Modern consensus from the start (P2SH, BIP16/34/65/66, CSV, SegWit)
- Fixed wallet locktime behavior to avoid stuck or invalid transactions
- Clean mempool policy and stable mining difficulty parameters
- Retained improvements from NG1 (GBT + GETHEADERS fixes) for reliable mining and syncing
- Windows & Linux builds ready at launch
- Fair launch — no pre-mine, equal opportunity for all miners

ℹ️ What This Means for NG1
NG1 becomes a **legacy test chain**. Anyone may continue to run it for fun or testing, but it will not be supported or promoted as the official mainnet.
Do not expect new wallets, services, or exchanges to support NG1 after NG2 launch.

✔️ How to Proceed If You Have NG1 Coins or Pending Transactions
- Pending / unconfirmed transactions likely will never confirm (SegWit wasn’t active under NG1 rules).
- Your effective balance on NG1 wallet remains unchanged if TXs never confirmed.
- For a clean state, delete `mempool.dat` and resync — or simply move to NG2 once released.
- NG2 will start with zero supply — your NG1 holdings do not transfer automatically.

📅 What’s Next & When to Expect NG2
We are preparing NG2 codebase now. Launch date and build release will be announced soon.
Expect: fresh mainnet genesis, stable binaries, and public mining instructions — everything it takes for a clean, fair start.

--------------

🔹 Why Altoshi (Altcoin)?
Because PoW deserves a chain without tokenomics games, inflation tricks, or corporate sponsors.
Altcoin revives the classical crypto spirit: mine it, build on it, verify it yourself, and watch the network grow from real participation — not marketing budgets.

• Fair & transparent launch - open to everyone
Everyone starts equally. No hidden allocations, no privileged insiders.
Mining determines distribution, fully transparent on-chain.

Premine: 995 ALT
Dev mined 995 ALT from block 0–19 to test and stabilize the network.
This represents 0.00113% of the fixed 88,000,000 supply.
Intended for **testing, burn/faucet/airdrop** in the future.
Dev Wallet : ANKSYFxh3s3Zx3AyRbRhgioqEYZ5ESdFbG

• A modern Scrypt chain
Built on a Litecoin 0.21 foundation with updated networking, SegWit structures, and MWEB-compatible frameworks.

• Predictable economics
Fast blocks, familiar halving schedule, stable long-term issuance.
Suitable for both hobby miners and larger setups.

• Lightweight & developer friendly
Fast syncing, minimal resource usage, clean codebase.
Perfect for explorers, wallets, bots, pools, and all kinds of tools.

• Open source, forever
MIT License. Fork it, audit it, improve it.
The ecosystem belongs to the community.

--------------

❓ FAQ

Q: Is this a fork or a fresh chain?
A: Altcoin is a full new-genesis chain (NG1).

Q: Can I mine with my existing Scrypt miners?
A: Yes — most Litecoin-compatible miners work without modifications.

Q: Is there ico or hidden allocation?
A: No ICO. No hidden allocation. Just pure mining.

Q: Does Altcoin support MWEB?
A: The codebase includes MWEB-compatible structures. Future activation depends on community consensus.

Q: Are there any pools?
A: Pools may appear as community members deploy them. Pool operator are welcome to list us.

Q: Will there be exchange listings?
A: Exchange additions will depend on community interest and third-party integration.

Nevermind It's my bad! However you might wanna change the checkpoints, or at least removing them because they belong to another blockchain, probably Litecoin!

Your transaction didn’t confirm because it was never included in a block.
This can happen when a wallet creates a transaction with a future *locktime*, or with conditions miners will not accept. In this case, the transaction only stays in your local mempool — it is **not on the blockchain** and **does not affect your balance**.

You can safely ignore it. Your coins are still in your wallet.

---

## **How to clear the stuck / unconfirmed transaction**

### **Linux**

1. Close the wallet / stop the node
2. Delete the file:
   `~/.altcoin/mempool.dat`
3. Start the wallet/node again

### **Windows**

1. Close the Altcoin Wallet
2. Open:
   `%APPDATA%\Altcoin`
3. Delete `mempool.dat`
4. Start the wallet again

After restarting, the stuck transaction will disappear and your balance becomes fully usable again.

---

## **Note (what we are fixing)**

We identified that the wallet sometimes creates transactions using a *future locktime*.
Miners will reject these until the chain reaches that block height, which can lead to a “zombie” transaction stuck in the mempool.

We are already preparing an update that:

* removes unnecessary automatic locktime from wallet-generated transactions
* ensures all normal transactions are immediately valid for miners
* fully prevents this issue from happening again in future versions

Once the updated wallet is released, users will not encounter this problem anymore.

---

In v2.0.1, we are:
* Removing unnecessary automatic locktime from wallet-generated transactions
* Ensuring all normal transactions are immediately valid for miners
* Preventing unmined, unconfirmable mempool entries
* Update checkpoints reflecting the correct canonical chain
* Mainnet Reset (Under Discussion - Optional)

We will announce a final decision before release, so the community has full clarity.

No chain reset please we spent some money in mining already   Undecided

For the stuck transactions it's because some people used segwit wallet address but segwit is not activated yet in the blockchain. You can enable it earlier by changing the value from line 75 in the chainparams.cpp file:
consensus.SegwitHeight = 1201536;

Change this value for something like 24000, current height is 20200. At the same time, it would be ideal to activate also all other important consensus so maybe change all these lines from chainparams.cpp (mainnet section) like this:

Code:
        consensus.BIP16Height = 24000;
        consensus.BIP34Height = 24000;
        consensus.BIP34Hash = uint256();
        consensus.BIP65Height = 24000;
        consensus.BIP66Height = 24000;
        consensus.CSVHeight = 24000;
        consensus.SegwitHeight = 24000;

Hope that helps!
