Yes along with everyone else in the world. Unfortunately the combination of everyone else who agrees with you, difficulty is high. Unfortunately we've accommodated to mining pools and ASICs and Chinese mining hardware conglomerates that we've cast aside every normal person.

As already said, you should read about the history of FPGA and ASIC. These chips are specially designed for the purpose of running SHA256 as quickly as possible. A modern GPU cannot reach even 1% of the hashes of an ancient mining chip, let alone of a modern one like BM1370. It's just chips that serve a completely different purpose.

If you want to make money using your GPU, consider renting them through services like Vast.ai or TensorDock. It's barely profitable though, considering the cost of running GPU 24/7 and the demand for renting them.

I will go with unMinable to mine, already downloaded their app on iphone, they have clear fees and structure of payment, I don’t feel there are many strings attached to them no kyc too.
Is there a specific reason why you chose them? There seem to be many options from the threads. Their app is basically a monitoring tool if I read it correctly, so you'll still have to set up your rigs to properly mine on their pools.

Is asking for KYC common for mining pools nowadays, btw?

some pools ask some do not.

nicehash wants kyc

These apps have a very flexible payment system with low fees because they can pay in altcoins and stablecoins. I'm curious, what hardware are you planning to use to mine the coins?

Yes the main reason I chose them is because they can mine optimal coins (based on. difficulty and Market conditions then pay in bitcoin or altcoins)

I will definitely be setting up ASICs in my land, I have a spare room in my farmhouse and an AC too.

I chose they because of the reason for charging a reasonable fee, and more overly they can mine altcoins too depending on network difficulty and Market conditions then pay in bitcoin, eth and a few other altcoins..

When I mined in past using MinerGate they asked for my documents and asked me to sign up on their exchange..didn't end up very good for me tough it was a small amount a little over 0.1xmr if I am not wrong.

Do you have a subsidized electricity rate?
I also have a subsidized tariff in a rural area in my country, but my subsidy is limited to 3,000 kilowatts per month at 4 cents, and next year this limit will be even lower, approximately 1,200-1,500 kilowatts.
After exceeding the limit, I'll pay approximately 11 cents. This is no longer profitable.
Are you sure that with your consumption, you will have affordable electricity?

Actually yes at the moment electricity costs around 0.06 usd/Kw.
I haven’t checked for how much though yet, but I am positive I might see electricity prices go up or limiting to a certain Kwh, I can’t say for sure what’s the limit for this price.

I also have subsidies for Solar panels they generate quite a lot of energy, my gramps bought some when they were cheap 5 or 6 saw the packings but not the price (He didn’t tell me when I asked).. my uncle did though when I asked him about the price.. Gramps is a little secretive about the money he’s spending..

Side text for cracks.. I saw a text where he withdrew some money from the bank then forgot to delete the text, I saw it then wanted to say “Hey gramps you spent x amount here much is left from that withdrew amount’ then I thought I shouldn’t.

Edit yes I also get this tarrif in rural area, before almost a decade ago the electricity was almost free there were no meteres too it’s recent that gov started charging for it.. I think there was a fixed amount per month taken from people around 5$.

Calculators are not perfect, but they give a good estimate. For long term mining, efficient cards like the 3060 Ti, or some AMD options work well. If your power cost is okay and you have got good cooling, GPU mining can still be a nice slow and steady way to stack coins over time.

You want to mine bitcoin with Graphics card? That is not possible if you are expecting profit. If you want to mind bitcoin profitably, it is better you get yourself a good ASICs instead of GPU. We are no more in the days of GPU bitcoin mining.

I was investigating and I found that wall.  Embarrassed

If you have a 10-15 kilowatt limit, then you can mine with GPUs at that price, but you should consider a payback period of three years or more. Honestly, it's not very profitable. I would look for used equipment at markets, but that requires experience.
ASICs are much more cost-effective, but they're noisy. If something breaks, you'll need a good service center; it's difficult to repair such equipment yourself.
