ClearFinances – web crawler for financesOur project aims for collecting, validation, continuous actualization and storing in blockchain of financial data for:
- political and anti-corruption investigations;
- economical investigations – e.g. regarding premeditated bankruptcy;
- avoiding being manipulated in negotiations.
What’s wrong in present open databases and investigative journalism:
- data restricted to group of people/companies/territories;
- investigations are not continuous;
- sources are vulnerable to change and removal;
- no independent (e.g. algorithmical) validation of data;
- manual data gathering.
ClearFinances web crawler uses open sources (e.g. listed in
https://investigativedashboard.org), media, social networks to gather financial data about companies, property, money and people who control them.
Found data is being validated, grouped by people, time, degree of belief.
Processed information is stored in blockchain – but the metadata (data links, degree of belief) is continuously updated according to the recent facts.

make our world clearer and fairer.
